DEMS WITH GUNS

The Hartford Courant reported Wednesday that almost the entire field of Democratic Presidential hopefuls are more gun-friendly than any field in recent memory. Joe Lieberman now says he "never supported" Al Gore's 2000 proposal to license new handguns.
When asked about guns, John Kerry notes that he's been hunting since the age of 8. Howard Dean -- the most pro-gun of the Democratic field -- wants to "keep the background checks and the ban on assault weapons ... but [otherwise] let states do what they want." Even peace candidate Dennis Kucinich describes himself as "sensitive to guns" and supports "gun laws that in no way interfere with hunters."
In a recent debate, only Al Sharpton said he supports the licensing and registration of handguns. Pro-gun control groups are obviously disappointed with these candidates

" let states do what they want" Hey Dean...to be included in this Republic, a state must agree to the rules...The Bill of Rights etc...so it's a state issue on which admendments are OK?

The 2nd Amendment is about hunting in the same way the 1st Amendment is about baseball play-by-play.

Yeah, remember when he posed in his goofy duck hunting outfit and said he'd let all of us keep our rifles for duck hunting? Big of the ignorant scumbag.
DEMOCRATS ARE LIARS. DEMOCRATS ARE THE VEHICLE OF DISARMAMENT. DEMOCRATS ARE COMMUNISTS. DEMOCRATS SPEAK MEANINGLESS WORDS LIKE CATTLE PASS WIND.

I have to agree with that.
Anyone in political power these years/decades is going to go against gun ownership simply because this is still the USA. "Government by the people for the people"
They know it and so do we. And we still have a deterrent against them. And they do not like it!, regardless of what side they stand on.
So they will nibble and bite a little at a time thinking we wont notice and do nothing.
they take a little by little trying to be sneeky and we stock lots more ammo
Oh... whats all this leading up to I ask my self sometimes ...interesting :o)

Howard Dean -- the most pro-gun of the Democratic field -- wants to "keep the background checks and the ban on assault weapons If he's for the semi-auto ban, he's not pro-gun. He may be less anti-2nd Amendment than his peers, but he's still in favor of gutting the Constitution.

The SCOTUS somdomy is a right decision shows what power they have to swerve the body politic.
A "collective right" decision by the SCOTUS would totally change the debate, and embolden the 'rats to go for our guns on a large scale.
And of course, some "militia gun nut kook" may sooner or later climb up into a tall building with an "assault rifle" and produce a super Columbine.
We have been making some steady gains for the RKBA, but I think it's very tenuous. If the 'rats were given an opportunity, by the SCOTUS or by some Jimmy Shifflett, they would bare their fangs with a vengence. The vast middle of America could be easily stampeded back toward the Million Mom March view of guns.

Box principal (soap, ballot, jury and ammo), should continue to apply on a day to day basis for every freedom loving American. Otherwise the republic disolves in the manner you suggest. Cache in the soil bank for the rainy day that may come would'nt hurt either............:o)
Stay Safe Travis !

the fact that after the oklahoma city bombing, a joint congressional task force was put together to investigate why an american citizen would perform such a heinous act in belief that his government was so oppressive that such an act was necessary, shows that our government always looks introspectively...
