Should be required that if you post something from the Times, you post the requisite name and password to get on so everyone doesn't have to register to finish reading.

Unfortunately a lot of Our so called Teachers and Professors are Leftist Socialists/Communists of which some who would like nothing better than to do than create some lethal gun incident in the school and blame the 2nd ammendment and the firearms manufacturing companies. If crime is going on in our schools(due in large part to poor
parenting practices as well as lack of discipline), let trained Policeman and/or trained armed security guards secure the schools that are being affected by criminal minded students and/or Teachers.

If my 12th grade English teacher had been armed, I'm sure she would have killed us all!

Lott is an economist/statistician. His arguments make perfect sense from that perspective, but I am not sure they pass a real world reality check. There are doggone few teachers I could think of who could responsibly carry or use a gun. I can just imagine too the buzz in a junior high classroom: "Hey, did you hear -- Mrs. Dorktoad is packin' -- Let's see if she keeps it in her drawer when we go to recess." We've got enought to worry about in our schools. If there are going to be good guys packing guns, I'm afraid I have to vote in favor of them being LEOs.

You just need to pick a few good ones.
Let the criminals try and figure out which one those are.

I agree with you! Pick a few good ones,
train them,
and get oaths to protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Then get the news out and watch how many more good people want in.

If you get into such a situation, try:
