Not quite enough. If we took the corpses of executed terrorists and tossed them in an industrial meat grinder along with a dog and a monkey (both unclean animals), fed the resultant sludge straight from the machine into a hog trough and let hogs eat it, and filmed it all and broadcast it worldwide, it might slow them down a bit.

The real issue here is how this drives Islam as a whole to deliberately create enemies. The moslems desperately need enemies because power hungry Mullahs tell them "holy war" is a sinner's free ticket to paradise and "martyrdom" is a free ticket to the first-class section.

Thus the "oppression of islam" in Palestine, Kashmir etc. is deliberately overdramatized by the muslims and is a valuable a rallying cry to those in power such as Arafat as a means to stay in power, and as an opportunity for muslims to portray themselves as innocent victims waging a defensive war. The last thing they want are peaceful solutions.

This is something which stems directly from the "legimatized" violence in the Koran and is actively promoted by self-serving Mullahs.

Outsiders who wish to believe that Islam is merely a peaceful religion on par with Buddism, Christianity, Judaism etc are deceiving themselves. The sooner we recognize the scam we are dealing with, the better. There ARE peaceful solutions but not by appeasing those who proport to speak for islam.

Actually, there was an article posted here on FR about a year ago that the literal translation of the words were "white raisins". During the time the Koran was written, white raisins were a delicacy reserved for royalty.

Offhand, I'd say give Arab nationalists a better alternative to Bin Laden. Rebuild Iraq into a functioning democracy. Promote mullahs with a peaceful message. Silence those with a violent message. Silence Arafat. Reduce focus on the Israel/Palestine issue.
