Studies on the evils of milk. A study was done at the Oregon Health Sciences University and published in Circulation in 1993 (vol. 88, p. 2771-9) on milk intake and the death from coronary heart disease-the largest killer of all of both men and women. The populations of 40 different countries were studied. The people who drank the most milk had the highest death rate. Finland had the greatest milk intake and the highest death rate......The MRFIT Study was one of the largest and longest of all human studies on heart and artery health. The average American has a cholesterol level of 250 and suffers about 250% more deaths every year. The lower your cholesterol the better and the only sourse of cholesterol is animal products like meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products. Seafood in moderation does not raise your cholesterol level. Copied word for word from Zen Macrobiotics for Americans by Roger Mason. For those of you who would like to learn more about healthy living you may want to visit Young Again Nutrients to read more concerning which foods are better for you. See, I'm trying help you Conservatives concerning your health. The Democrates don't care if you live past age 62 or not. If you don't, they won't have to give you your retirement benefits. I want you to be healthy, wealthy, and wise into your retirement years. I have heard far too many stories about guys who smoked, drank, and ate steak every day and then had a stroke and were 3/4s paralysed for the rest of their lives. Or, (Pardon the punctuation) Had a stroke or a heart attack and just plain died. Vegetables, beans, Brown rice and whole grains are good for you. Live

They didn't "develop" lactose intolerance. In fact, this is normal. Mankind went on for thousands and thousands of years without drinking anything but mother's milk, and then only until they were 5 or 6 years old.

At some point a genetic defect was introduced that allowed some humans to drink unfermented milk into their adult years. Then it was all downhill as cattle were brought into the home to provide that milk. With that came smallpox!

Some of us are still "normal" and live quite well without that defective gene. However, the totalitarian mindset that requires all kids in all schools to drink unfermented milk is the problem.

As we say "Got Yoghurt?"

I hope everyone will reexamine their learning and study the concept that cows milk is ment for baby cows and not for you.

You're right... For a good solution to this quandry, I suggest you read "On the Farm," by Piers Anthony... It's a short story in one of Harlan Ellison's "Dangerous Visions" collections.

I am amazed that having grown up without helments, eating peanut butter and drinking a lot of milk I have made it to 60 years of age. This country has gone nutz trying to make life risk free.
