"We could see Highway 2, with a roundabout and a tall statue in the middle," said Sgt. First Class Frank R. Antenori, a Green Beret team sergeant. "We could see vehicles driving along as if nothing was happening. We couldn't just sit two kilometers away and watch the Iraqi Army drive back and forth all day long. We were already way beyond our objective, but we decided to occupy that next junction. We figured we could stay all day and shoot up anything that came through."

BTTT...

The courage of these men and the ingenuity is what makes the U.S forces the best in the world!

It took a gutsy team and leader with intelligence to win this battle. Fortunately, they are on our side.

Intelligence, training, guts,

simply the best.

Thanks, obviously I did miss it. 3 or 4 times? I needed coffee.

(FYI: some of the image links on your homepage seem to have been moved since you set them. Maybe. http://www.army-technology.com/projects/apache/images/apache13.jpg is one. I fully intend on swiping some of your quotes. Look for them in future tags.)

Kinda like the old saying "one riot, one ranger." One enemy company, one special forces team.

"We called in an F-18 to drop a 750-pound bomb on those S.U.V.'s," Captain Wright said. "It was like a magic show. You know, now you see 'em, now you don't. The S.U.V.'s, the guys in the white robes — they simply vanished."

They should film this story and show it every Christmas.

Kinda like the old saying "one riot, one ranger." One enemy company, one special forces team.

It also reminds me of the joke about Israeli soldiers that circulated after one of the (several) wars where Israel was outnumbered but still kicked everyone's butt:

During the [pick any Arab-Israeli war], an Arab tank battallion paused to study their maps and break for lunch, when all of a sudden an Israeli soldier popped up from behind a nearby sand dune and called out, "you guys had better to back home, or you're gonna be in trouble!"

The Arab commander sneered and sent for Abdul, one of his biggest, brawniest soldiers. "Abdul," he commanded, "go kill that pest, but make it slow and painful." Abdul unslung his rifle and drew his knife, and went running after the Israeli.

They both disappeared behind the sand dune, and there were sounds of a scuffle. Then the Israeli, his hair barely mussed, climbed out from behind the sand dune again and said, "I mean it, you guys should just quit while you can."

The Arab commander snarled and ordered ten of his men to go kill the Israeli. They disappeared behind the sand dune and gunfire and screams rang out, then silence. The Arab commander smiled until the Israeli soldier, his shirt slightly torn, climbed back onto the sand dune and called out, "hey, you guys are starting to make me mad!"

Outraged, the Arab commander ordered his entire battallion to attack. Hundreds of Arabs surge forward, with armored cars and tanks clanking right behind them.

Suddenly Abdul, the first Arab soldier to engage the Israeli, crawled painfully up to the top of the sand dune and screamed, "turn back!! It's a trap!! There are *TWO* Israeli soldiers back here!"

Hard to get a reliable count. Most of the sources on the www are lefty and can't be trusted; but, one estimate had 1,856 Baghdad Iraqis killed, and another estimate is 5-10,000. As unfortunate as those Iraqi civilian deaths are, that is a small number compared to the number of civilians raped, tortured and killed by Saddam's nepotic thugocracy.

If you have never been in a public employee jurist's courtroom when he is making up his own law as he goes, threatening objecting citizens with contempt for speaking up over the obvious mala fides, and failing to acknowledge "iregularities" documented in his own court's administration, then sit back.

I have seen a blackrobe enforcer at work. Whatcha gonna do? It costs tens of thousand$ to try to correct an agenda driven SOB's damage.

Good grief is right. Blackrobes are out of control.

This account, and the deeds of numerous others are clearly unknown to, or ignored by those who criticized Bush for his, "Bring it on," quote.

The highest estimate was 10,000, and that's the total. Do a Google search and you'll see what I mean. As far as numbers go, that is a relatively small number compared to what the number would be under conventional 'dumb' weapons.
