Well, noone is actually commited to move until within 5 years after we hit the 20,000 mark so there won't be large numbers heading there yet. If we hit 20,000 in 2005 then hopefully by 2010 we should have plenty of influence. I'd guess we have about 100-200 people supporting us in N.H. so far, but it's only been a couple weeks since N.H. was selected and many of those people were already there. An on-line poll says about half the people (that would be about 2,500 of the current 5,000) intend to move within a couple years.

The governor won in the Republican primary by 4,638 votes so 20,000 motivated citizens should be able to have a large impact.

The NY Times is going to do an article, and a reporter from somewhere else was asking on the site for volunteers to do a documentary on the move and the reception in N.H. We'll see what happens.

Here's an on-line archive of a radio broadcast:

Quite a lot of other links are on the FSP messageboard (we should have at least a couple archived TV broadcast links up too)

There have been some group excursions there (There was a Welcome to the Granite State event held and about 20-30 Freestaters met Governor Benson. He even signed up as a friend to the project ... poor Kathy Sullivan, one of the head Democratics almost exploded when she heard about it LOL - she called us "anarchists' ugghhh but most the media reception has been neutral and even positive), the Libertarian Party in NH has been very supportive and the Republicans have been accomodating. There are already 2 FSP representatives in the government there.

I've been itching to move out of CA for a long time now and this seems like the perfect plan.

Check this info out about NH: http://www.lpnh.org/101-Reasons-Vote-NH.pdf
(It was made by the Libertarian Party in NH to get us to pick NH LOL :)

There are officially 219 Free Staters in N.H. now. (End of Oct., 2003)

There's a political action committee that has just been created called the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance. It's non-partisan. FSP membership grew by over 700 in October and is over 5,000 (again, it dropped to around 4,300 after N.H. was selected and people opted out). There were articles in The New York Times, NewsMax and The Washington Post about the FSP recently, so the word is beginning to spread.
