>>...without connection to anything improper...<<
Of course, if they consider crashing planes into buildings proper.

lol ... you were typing the same thing as I was at the same time ... if this guy gave $60,000 to IANA (did I read that correctly?), then he was there to give them their final send off from allah ... his appointment a few months later is no big surprise, given all the data ...

American investigators are trying to make sense of the disclosure ... Disclosed by whom? when? Did the Sheik register at the hotel with his own name?

Mr Hussayen was interviewed by FBI agents who went to the hotel after the attacks. According to allegations in an FBI file, he "feigned a seizure, prompting the agents to take him to a hospital, where the attending physicians found nothing wrong with him". !!!!!!!

[Mr Nevin told The Washington Post that the Saudi minister was a backer of Saudi charities abroad and said his visit to the United States was "utterly and completely innocuous
and without connection to anything improper".]
Except for a terror attack against the USA. Until they actively AND PUBLICLY denounce terrorism, ANY Saudi is a potential terrorist or terrorism sponsor. After the next attack they will be killed on site. Mark my words.

Could be anti-Bush. Or FBI v. CIA. Not good. But could be fun watching it's development. Could be a frustrated-with-the-US British tip.
Leaks fixed in the US, they might pop up other places. The "George Tenet" linkage to "six reporters" story in Plame-Gate was revealed, or hinted at, in the Telegraph.

gradual leak on purpose? I find it hard to believe ... who knows? Or after our 12 year war with Iraq looks like it's at its end, no need to coddle the House of Saud as much.
