"...she continued to supply Limbaugh illegally, hiding the pills under his mattress so his wife wouldn't find them."

Yeah, and my mom never found those Playboy mags under my mattress either.... sheesh!

Kathy Lee Gifford also won a defamation suit against the Enquirer which claimed really only that her young son was disruptive on the set.

I thought Rush slept on a Select Comfort bed.

[Louis Beshara's attorney, James Eisenberg, told The Post he knew of no connection between the Clines and the Besharas.]

["Those names (the Clines) have never come up. Never," Eisenberg said. "There is nothing in the case about Limbaugh, about the Clines, about anything like that. There is no connection as far as I can tell." ]

[Court documents show as many as four confidential informants were involved in the Beshara case, but Eisenberg said he didn't believe they included Wilma or David Cline.]

I'm confused by what this means. Somehow, reading this story makes me more suspicious that this is a set-up. This article also does not state that the lawyer who paid her $100,00 was hired by Rush.

So THAT's what he meant by 'with half of my brain tied behind my back' to be fair

We should get you a perscription, maybe it would help.

I'm sure it couldn't hurt.

By the way, re N.Korea, remember who gave them the technology. What's done is done, and there is nothing to be gained from starting a world war.

I saw that Shohat's being vetted as a lowlife associate of Algores. What do we know about the prosecutor Martz?

Identity Theft?

Gee how easy would it be to make a fake or hijack a real email address.

(kazaa searches will yield instructions on how to hijack hotmail adresses. The hole was closed, per microsoft)

If I was in rushes position, and I caught a maid using my name for illegal activity, I would fire her quietly to get rid of her.

"The Enquirer story said the couple got nervous and contacted Edward Shohat, a noted Miami criminal defense lawyer. Late last year, Shohat escorted them to Palm Beach County prosecutor James Martz."

What happened to the sat on story for two years angle?

She started to keep a log of her purchases, she said, and within the first 47 days she delivered 4,350 pills to Limbaugh.

That's 92 pills a day for 47 days! Nobody takes 92 pills of a powerful drug like that unless they plan to commit suicide.

I don't know what the usual dosage is, but let's say it's one pill a day. 4350 pills would be enough for 12 years!

This woman's story doesn't make sense.

The only crime I see here so far is that Rush didn't do a better job in screening his household help! These Clines are a couple sleezy con-artists out to make a buck. I still think the DNc, headed by two of the biggest con-artists of all time, are behind this. What better way to bring down a prominent conservative than to accuse him of pill popping!

In 2002, Wilma Cline said, a Palm Beach attorney showed up on her doorstep, gave her a check for $100,000 and made her sign a promissory note, but said the "loan" would never be collected. Four months later, in November, the attorney gave her a check for $100,000 and told her not to give Limbaugh any more pills.

The attorney also told her to hand over the computer retaining Limbaugh's e-mails, Wilma Cline said, but she took the hard drive from another computer and smashed it in front of him. Then the Clines sought legal help.

"In 2002." This means that Rush, if you want to give the Clines any credibility, had not received pills from them since, at the latest, November 30, 2002, indicating that he has either kicked the pills completely -- possibly at the demand of ear specialists in order to save his hearing -- or that he has found a more clandestine supplier. After the destruction of the computer on which she supposedly received his emails, that would mean those two $100,000 payments meant the end of the gravy train for the Clines.

Knowing what we do now about the history of David Cline, it's likely that he and Wilma were engaged in activities that were dependent on a steady flow of cash, and that with his prison record and her lack of qualification to do anything but housekeeping, they could only keep their present lifestyle by getting paid to expose Rush.

I don't believe for a second that they sought Shohat before trying to sell the story; I think they tried to sell the Enquirer and they said, "Rush Limbaugh a pill-popping machine? We're going to need more than your word for that!" and suggested that somehow, with the assistance of an attorney, they go to "the authorities" and see if this could result in an investigation. Once an investigation began, it became fair game for the media.

In any event, once again, making the presumption for the sake of argument that the Clines are credible: according to THEM, Rush hasn't received pills from them for at least ELEVEN MONTHS.

One more thing: this story suggests that Rush became "paranoid" because he allegedly "groped" Wilma, making sure that she wasn't wearing a wire.

If you want to believe her, she DID! You're not paranoid if people are really after you!

"Didn't this occur during the period of time he lost his hearing rather suddenly because of the quick onset of a genetic disease?"

From article:"Wilma Cline, 42, and her husband, David, 41, who claim they were Limbaugh's drug suppliers from 1998 to 2002 and that he paid them tens of thousands of dollars."

If it supposedly began in 1998 that would have been before Rush's onset of hearing loss.

Also if I recall correctly it was not a genetic hearing loss. It was caused from a virus that had not been treated soon enough with anti-biotics.

"I was taking hydrocodone for my shoulder, and they aint blue!!"

I have heard it said that Viagra is very small and blue and they are not pain killers.
Well, maybe they are if you don't get what you need right away.;-)

Just called a radio station that hosts Rush Limbaugh and spoke with a fellow named Brian. He indicated that the hearing loss occurred around 2001.

"He indicated that the hearing loss occurred around 2001."

I was pretty sure the loss had started around the end of 2000 or the beginning of 2001 as he had his implants done sometime in Nov or Dec 2001. The loss was something that went very fast.

That is why if the supply of pain killers began in 1998 as per article it didn't have anything to do with his hearing loss.

There is no way in the world I believe what this women is saying. That Rush found out her husband was on pain killers and he just asks her to get him some.
