Prayers needed

I am asking everyone to pray for my sister-in-law's father and his entire family. His name is Bob Ziegler, and he has just been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.

Bob is to undergo more tests this week to see the extent of the cancer. I ask that prayers go up, that the tests show the cancer hasn't spread, and that the doctors are able to treat it effectively. I would also ask that you pray for his family to have the strength to get through this difficult time.

Barb is more like a sister to me than a sister-in-law, and I will be with her when she needs me, but I will post updates as much as I can.

I lift up Bob. You see him, You know him, and You love him. Let me have enough faith to believe that the God who has created this good man will heal him. Your will is not always our own, and our ways are not Your ways; still, I have seen you perform miracles. Forgive us, Father - in Jesus name...

Just a quick update for all who are praying for Bob, His doctors had let him out of the hospital for Thanksgiving and he was to go back after that to see if the cancer had spread; as it turns out, Bob was having too much pain and had to be taken back to John Hopkins early yesterday morning. It looks as though he will be spending this Thanksgiving in the hospital.

Please, when you sit down to dinner on this Thanksgiving, say a special prayer for Bob and his family, I know it will mean a lot to them.

And of course, all of the those in the service fighting for our freedom, that can't be home for the holidays. God bless them all.

Sorry to hear that Bob will be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. I will remember him and the family in my prayers. Geeze, I hate stuff like this anytime, but the holidays sure make it worse.

Here is the another update on Bob,

On Tuesday they will be operating on him to see if the cancer has spread. They say that if it has gotten into the arteries, he only has about a year, but if not thet will try and remove it, and take it from there.

I'd like to ask that you continue praying for Bob and the family. Barb is reading this thread, and it really helps to lift her up; so please keep them coming!! She is going to print them out and take them to Bob, so he can read them and have his spirits lifted too.
