What a great site. Thanks for the link.
Thanks for the advice - I'll go over this with him. We'll get him the handbook, and look for the training.
How well established is your Troop? Has the Scoutmaster said anything about training? When's the next Patrol Leaders' Council meeting?
The troop has been around for years. I don't know what the Scoutmaster has planned for training ... Bill's not the best at reporting information, and my husband had to leave the meeting this week before everything was covered because our younger boy had fallen off his bicycle and was a total disaster.
I think I need to e-mail the Scoutmaster for more information, don't I?
Patrol Leaders are meeting next Wednesday, which is convenient, because I have to be there for a Sunday School teachers' meeting at the same time!
Rather than e-mail the Scoutmaster, discuss these issues with your son and have him ask. As a member of the Patrol Leaders' Council, he has the right and the obligation to bring up the subject of training, handbooks, etc. and ask that the Troop schedule training if it has no plans already.
Thanks - good advice! I'll encourage him to write up a list of questions before the meeting next week.
(warning - please don asbestos suit before reading)
You can keep your side of the Tiber, thank you.
I would only swim those shark-infested waters if there were no other choice.
Oh yes, absolutely. It's like what Churchill said about Democracy. But now that I've dried off, it's no longer such a big deal.
