WashJune 14KINOn June 5th, Bible Historian and explorer Bob Cornuke led an expedition of 15 geologists, historians, archeologists, scientists and attorneys on an exhausting mission 13,300 feet above sea level to locate and document the tremendous sections of what is thought to be Noahs Ark located in the Ararat mountain range six hours North of Tehran, Iran. It had been essentially buried beneath the preservation of glaciers until last year when Iran recorded the hottest year on record which melted some of the snowcap revealing 450 by 75-foot footprint of the object.
Noahs Ark was claimed to be found in Northern Iran rather than Turkey. Over a thousand expeditions had previously scoured Turkeys Mt. Ararat, but by following the precise language of the Bible, Cornuke found what is believed to be Noahs Ark, nearly intact. Turkeys Mt. Ararat was incorrect because Marco Polo named the large mountain during his journeys in the 13th century. Through mapping scriptures in Genesis with ancient maps, Cornuke pieced together the clues and found where the Ararat Mountain Range made home for Noahs Ark in Northern Iran not far from Turkey. Bob Cornuke has been at the center of several controversies over his past findings as he has come at odds with secular scholars, but several people who I know personally were on this expedition as well as some credible, internationally known heads of Christian ministries. Cornuke and the participants are careful to not say emphatically that they found Noahs Ark, but have taken extensive documentation to present their facts for both the public, and the Biblical and scientific communities.
After crawling on hands and knees miles above the earths surface in four below zero weather, the expedition found an altar, which could very well be the altar Noah built because it was made from the same materials they later found in the Ark. They found grapevines over two inches think in the area, of which the DNA from the grapes is the oldest known to man. Genesis 9:20 says that Noah planted a vineyard. But most amazing was the ark itself. It was found in sections, somewhat like a house that had collapsed over the years. Sections of petrified wood 12 to 14 feet high and 40 feet long were found. They found a huge pile of timber, thought to be floors or walls, in four-to-six foot sections.
Geologists took nine samples of the ark under the strict eye of a video team for analysis by the Smithsonian Institute. Over 23,000 feet of video was taken and will be released to the public. You can get your first glimpse of it on Fox News with John Kasich Saturday at 8:00pm Eastern time, according to the Cornuke team. The expedition members hope to spark debate over the Ark; hope to show that the Bible is accurate and true; and hope that people will come to know Christ through the truth that they have revealed. In John 8:32, Jesus said, And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. May you be revived and energized by the possibility of this wonderful discovery that there is one God and His truth reigns forever.
See? Global warming ain't *all* bad! ;-)
How many Ark's did Noah have? This is about the tenth one found in my lifetime.
I've seen this before. Usually, in the end there is no physical evidence...poor video...ie a hoax. I'm not holding my breath, but thanks for the post...
I hope he is just being casual when he talks about petrified wood and not using the true meaning of the word.
Been curiuous about this for a long time. Glad they could go up there.
I listend to the team leader being interviewed on the radio about two months ago on this. Sounded really interesting.
The location is really interesting.
Nice to know they are saving it for Saturday with Kasich. It must be real credible.
'Global warming' may get some credit here. ;-)
What role may it be playing in revealing one of the mysteries of the secrets of the Flood?
Thanks for posting.
Wonder why they took attorneys along?
bump for later
Bump for complete and total liberal meltdown watch. Global warming claims its first victims!
Not to speak about how many pieces of it have been sold. LOL
Interesting. You mean to tell me that a non muslim can get in to Iran???????????????????? Imagine that!
Now, that's some feat.
"How many Ark's did Noah have? This is about the tenth one found in my lifetime."
I want to know how long it takes wood to petrify.
Now, that's some feat.
No, hands and knees, not feat. =P
I can't wait 'til the poles melt, revealing cities millions of years old, with technology that makes us look stoopid.
At least Whorealdo isn't hosting it.
This has the potential of preventing you from embarrassing yourself further.
Now we can find out what Gopher Wood is or perhaps was. Do I get an award for the least significant statement?
Cool....so now does certain folks who find that carbon dating this vessle proves it is the one true ark of Noah, validate, for them, the fossil bones of modern men going back 30,000 years or more.
This is only the second Ark find in my lifetime, that I know of....I am 41.....so there are 8 more finds out there??? Any links?
I wonder if the tests will show it to be gopher wood or have traces of pitch on it...
"Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch."
What's wrong? Can't they measure in cubits?
If we dont know what gopher wood is, at least we know that pitch was...oil.
And oil doesnt grow on trees.
My faith isnt dependant on whats found in the dirt, but its an interesting subject.
The Ark Prepared
13 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the arkyou, your sons, your wife, and your sons wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. 21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.
Possibly, but look at the drivel post prior to yours!
Oil may not grow on trees, but pitch does.
Do a google of 'pine pitch'.
Wow, interesting site!
More significant... have they found any Koala poop?
Cornuke is a bit of a flake with no geological or archaeological background, but his book on finding the real Mt. Sinai was quite interesting. That time, he snuck into Saudi Arabia, so his sneaking into Iran would not be a surprise. I'll withhold judgment until seeing what he has found.
Thanks, thats interesting to learn of.
I didnt know what.
"No need to paint Noah's Ark black - the pitch was probably extracted from pine trees (which might be "gopher wood" anyway). Perfectly water proof, gum based pitch melts easily, has a faint pine odor, looks like a thick varnish, washes up with alcohol and remains flexible. It can be used as both a coating and an adhesive. It could be applied either with heat or by dilution with alcohol. Manufacture is simple. Surely this is the perfect material, even by today's standards."
Check this link out that I found on the search:
This must be the same stuff I see oozing from my japanese pine.
It's either intact (i.e., in one piece), or it's in pieces.
Saturday, June 10 • Author Ann Coulter is live answering your e-mails! • Plus, actor Kirk Cameron stops by
The pitch, hardened by the low temperatures encountered, may account for Cornuke's use of the term 'petrified wood'.
I guess we'll find out Sat. evening.
Ditto. In fact, when looking for pictures to post to the thread, I see they've found another one in Ontario, Canada. It was so well preserved, it's still being used today. Even the requisite giraffe heads sticking out of the top deck are still there!
Wow! That Moses sure got around. Must have dropped off 2 moose before he moved on.
Yes it is! :)
