“Big Bad Catholic Church”

Hm, I sense sarcasm in that statement. So would you say the catholic “church” was never big and never bad? All the the folks burned because they wouldn’t accept the infallibility of the pope got what they deserved by the church Jesus set up?

Wrong.

Do you think it’s possible that since they burned Wycliffe’s bones and all his works they could get a hold of, they might try to suppress any history that is contrary to there heresy?

“Murderers and torturers like Calvin and Cromwell and Cranmer.....”

Yep, and most of the popes, bishops, and practitioners of the church of Revelation 17 throughout history.

No one has ever been burned for denying the infallibility of the Pope, which was not even a fully enunciated doctrine until the First Vatican Council in 1870.

Sloppy calumnies are not among the tools of the True Church.

It's interesting than an entire religious defense of Halloween was mounted in this article without one piece of scripture.

I find it interesting that the condemnation of Halloween is also scriptureless...since the day is never mentioned in the Bible. There is nothing the Bible says IN FAVOR OF or........ AGAINST, jack-o-lanterns, dressing up in costumes and children trick-or-treating, on 31 October.

It would seem, if that's all the day means to you (as it does to 98% of Americans), by Paul's command, innocently celebrating Halloween, and All Saints day too, is just fine.

So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. (Colossians 2:16, 17)
