Posted on 11/11/2008 11:26:11 AM PST by TaraP
Because of what we have learnt we have had to make some difficult decisions and cut ourselves off from fellowship with people we have come to be very fond of.
Jesus tells us many times not to be deceived. (Mat 24:4-5, 11. Eph 5:6-11. 2 Thess 2:13)
He said, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. Mat 24:4-5
Who do you think are the deceived? Jesus tells us that many will be deceived. Who are the many?
NOTE also in the above verse that the deceivers are not denying Jesus, they are saying that Jesus is Christ.
Jesus also said, Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord,Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophecied in thy name? and in thy name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mat 7:21-23
Who do you think Jesus is talking about here?
Think about it!
He is not talking about unbelievers He is talking about church folk, Christians who practise prophecy, cast out demons and do miracles in Jesus name.
What group of Christians do these things and teach these things? It cant be high church or denominations that believe the gifts of the Spirit have ceased because they dont prophecy or cast out demons etc.
I believe the Lord has shown me it is those individuals who are involved/engaged in what is called the Charasmatic Renewal Movement, eg Toronto, Brownsville, Vineyard, Alpha course, New Wine, Clan etc and I speak from experience because I was involved in this stuff myself till the Lord told me to come out of her.
Why does Jesus say to these well intentioned people, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity?
I believe it is because they have allowed themselves to be deceived, to follow deceiving spirits, to unwittingly follow Satan who dont forget appears as an angel of light.
The APOSTATE church is here NOW! Just take a look at the Christian TV channels. The vast majority are riddled with compromise, false teaching and doctrines of demons and millions have fallen for it.
Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come except there come a falling away. 2 Thess 2:3
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Mat 24:11
Contrary to popular belief, the Bible does NOT teach that there will be a massive END TIMES REVIVAL!
Rather Jesus said, When the Son of Man cometh , shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8
He also said, wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Mat 7:13-14
There has been a falling away, the love of many has waxed cold, millions have been and are being deceived.
Well now we know after the Obama election nearly everyone accept for 48 % of Americans and I an sure of that number more are included there as well in other areas.
52% are not really many if you just consider the US....but let’s see what the world thinks of him...it’s always good to be cautious though.
Absolutely, many will be deceived, but most won’t know it. Their intellectual level is too lacking to figure things out.
Ditto Latter Rain/Joel’s Army. These people are greatly deceived.
Now, more than ever, we must draw near to the Lord, seek His will, stay in His Word and test all things by scripture to see whether they be true.
The deceivers are not saying that “Jesus is Christ” as the author claims when they say “I am Christ.” They are saying that they themselves are Christ.
Saying I am Christ, would be teaching a false doctrine, wouldn’t it? Like Rev Jeremiah Right? or any Christian Pastor marrying a Gay Couple in a Christian Church?
The Wake Up Call is very interesting. The author agrees with you about the charismatic church and your whole vanity. The radio archives are great to listen to.
Read my tagline.
I am not sure Obama is the Antichrist..(Under evaluation) for some reason I think it is Nicolas Sarkozy if I had to take a guess right now....
Good post, good observations ....
You have to admit that a lot of conservatives would be tempted to sign on.
lol, its his name. Nicolas. You need to separate a series of fiction books from the book.
Good Points....Where does the rapture of the church come into play? Do you think that the rapture will happen before the church realizes truly who the Antichrist is?
LOL...No I know not from the Left Behind series as his name was Nicolas Parthenia or something like that?
I though the Antichrist has to be of jewish ancestry?
Sarkozy is that is why I thought that, and because of his popularity that is growing.
I don’t think there will be a rapture. Christians throughout time didn’t get raputured as they were persecuted. Why should we?
Are these churches not like the Pharisees: Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. ??
Because there are to many Bible Believing Christians in the world, that would ever worship a Man calling himself GOD...
How could he come to Power? and the Bible does say the Man of Perdition will declare himself GOD.
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Everyone who isn't me!
Take a listen.
Who are the many? Those who vote for their pocketbook over the sanctity of life.
Those who choose the secular ‘change’ over morality and the natural law.
Those seeking a one world government.
Another word for iniquity is "lawlessness". Those who are deceived will practice lawlessness, a disregard of the commandments of the Lord, a breaking of his holy law.
Exactly...If people do not want to hear the true Gospel of Jesus Christ then they would deny him being the Christ..(The true church) for the end time church the Apostate Church... would be saying *I am the Christ*..
I don’t think anyone would think that scripture in Mark it is talking about a person as in a Cult (Jim Jones, David Koresch, that Miami 666 guy) as being the Christ.
How many people have declared themselves Christ?
It isn’t the elect that will be deceived, that’s for certain.
“Who are the many? Those who vote for their pocketbook over the sanctity of life.”
Exactly right - God will hold hold those responsible who voted to continue the legalized murder of the unborn.
I will pray for Obama that he truly gives his heart and life to Jesus Christ, receives Jesus as his Savior and Lord, and changes his mind on abortion.
You sure his name isn’t throwing you? From the Left Behind series- wasn’t the guy named Nicolai Carpathia or something like that?
Now you hear ‘Nicholas Sarkozy’ and it’s got a rhythm and similarity?
Oh that’s right! Thanks for the Clarification...
No his name did not throw me, although I can see maybe how it would....
I just thought the Antichrist had to be of Jewish Ancestry and would be coming out of Europe.
All the churches have become apostate, the man of sin has taken his seat “in the temple”. “Come out of her (my) people, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues”. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God”. All of the churches have become “MYSTERY BABYLON” as Revelation declares- read your Bible before you start pointing fingers at others.
We are the ones we were waiting for.
Ever read “The Augsburg Confession”?
the Lord has revealed certain things to me that have shocked and saddened me
. . .
It cant be high church or denominations that believe the gifts of the Spirit have ceased because they dont prophecy or cast out demons etc.
Wouldn’t the Lord reviling things be considered prophecy and/or gifts of the spirit?
Thanks Bosco. I appreciate your concern, but I really wasn’t asking a question that I am looking for an answer to. I will try to find some time to listen, but if it is trying to explain rapture to me, then it’s a lost cause. If a rapture happens, then good, but if it doesn’t I hope that those who believe in it will not forsake God.
Wow I could NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!!!
I believe the Lakeland Revival was the start of the End Time Delusion.
Delusion is judgment.
Judgment comes upon the church first.
Now it is time for the world’s judgment of delusion; Obama.
I suppose, but I take it literally, as in people claiming to be Christ. It could be people calling themselves Jesus or Christ or Messiah (notice how Obama has not told people NOT to call him Messiah). Or it could be people who believe they are gods, or that they have Christ-consiousness, like new-agers or new spirituality followers. That’s just my take on it.
I think the “deceived” are perhaps both non-believers and Christians. The emerging church and contemplative spirituality are deceiving many Christians.
“had to have Jewish ancestry and out of Europe”
I know there are many people and theologians that put forth this theory, but there are more than one.
A lot of people believe that the muslim “12th Imam” is the antichrist, who arises out of the east from somewhere. If you think about the statue of Daniel and the feet and ten toes of clay and iron, representing the West and East and that that leader comes from one of those countries/areas...
The West (incl europe) is only one part of the bottom of the statue. Who is to say antichrist doesn’t come out of the Eastern side, it would snyc up with what the muslims are expecting in their final leader. I already think the false prophet comes out of Europe, basically whoever’s in papal power in Rome at the time.
Now I have some anonymous blogger telling me I’m going to hell, because I was involved in Charismatic events? Where do I send my check, so that I can be forgiven? And will this blogger tell me which church God wants me to attend (for a nominal fee, of course)? I guess the blogger’s shop also serves as a palm reading shop, when the Christian business side is slow.
It’s a shame that salvation just wasn’t enough to save me (and others like me). /s
I’ve been to your dead, non-spirit filled churches. I’ve yet to feel the presence of God in any of them. I feel the presence of God alone in my house, more than I’ve ever felt it in those dead denominations.
I wouldn't. If he subverts, or suborns the Constitution against *ANYONE*, including those to whom I am in total opposition, he will have, at that moment, lost any legitimacy I believed he might have had. End of story.
He either obeys and executes the law, as it is written, for ALL Americans, or he's toast in my book...
Anyone who is not for Christ, is against/opposed/replaces - anti - Christ.
The people who hate Christ are antichrist.
The people who are atheists are antichrist.
The people who believe in personal ‘christ-consciousness’ are antichrist.
The people who say that they are christ, are antichrist.
The people who say that there is more than one way to salvation, without christ, are antichrist.
It is all antichrist, just manifesting itself in different ways of deception. Do not make the mistake of assuming that everyone will be deceived by just one certain way. Christ does not say that everyone will be deceived in the exact same way.
There may very well be a ‘great deception’ that occurs by The Antichrist, one person who receives Satan’s power and can perform amazing signs and wonders and ‘false miracles’ and such and that may deceive many, but realize that before he is on the scene, there are and will be many others who are antichrists and will deceive many by whatever they are pushing on people.
IF you know what the deception is then you would know who the many are.
Well, then, are you saying that by your experiences there are no real bodies of christians gathering together and having fellowship with each other and God?
If you are a christian, you know that the bible says part of your responsibility as a christian is to find a church that teaches the Word of God faithfully and to gather with other christians for worship and fellowship. Are you saying you’re giving up on this because you only ‘feel’ god in your house?
The greatest deception will be Satan attempting to pull off passing the antichrist as Christ.
The people who believe this are those that will be deceived. They do not realize that Christ will return the same way He left. Any other ‘christ’ that comes back will not be coming back the same way He left, but the false miracles and such will convince those who do not understand.
And personally I think technology will play a great part in the false miracles.
Who tempted Christ it was not a flesh being, and we who are left on this earth are going to get a dose of that temptation... that 'one' shows up first for the purpose of collection of the lies and deception planted long before.
Of course it also says in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” This is why so many are deceived since the devil can come across as attractive, engaging and persuasive.
I wouldn’t say he is the antichrist more like the one that prepares the way. Much like John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus.
Well yes, Satan is a spirit being, but we do know he did have the ability to manifest himself physically, as have other angels (Lot, Jacob wrestling with the angel). At least to the point where they could be seen.
But this time, Satan is performing his counterfeit miracle. Just as God the Son came in the flesh out of a divine miracle, so Satan will give his power over to ‘his son’ the Antichrist. Satan’s power will manifest itself in one physical person. And it appears that this Antichrist will also have a fake ‘resurrection’ as opposed to Christ’s real miraculous resurrection.
I’m saying be careful from whom you take counsel.
For years, people have come down on those of us who aren’t part of mainstream denominations. Could it really be that those who are against the gifts of the spirit are closer to being deceived than those moving in those gifts?
This blogger was basically saying I needed to get out of the Charismatic movement. The blogger’s argument is the same one I’ve heard for years from all those involved in what I call dead churches. Sure many are saved, I don’t doubt that. But what I will argue is that they aren’t moving in the fullness and somehow wish the same upon others. If you’re content with that, then so be it, but don’t try to confuse others who don’t believe as you do.
