Satan invented the old Earth confusion, so no surprise that he expends so much energy to defend it.
Human culture is older than that.

The Bible clearly refutes old-age materialism. That’s how I know. And, as it turns out, the available scientific evidence is much more supportive of biblical creationism. As such, I will not “let it go.”
And God has specifically told His children in his Word that the Universe and everthing in was created in the span of seven normal Earth days.

God tells us in His Word that he accomplished the creation of the Universe and everything in it in six normal-length Earth days. There is no way for science to ever know this on its own steam, any more than it can discover the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ on its own steam.
There is nothing to defend. I have no idea how old the Earth is nor do you ... really. But I know it is certainly not 6000 years old. If Christ were here he would mock you as the Pharisee you are and slap you down in your self-righteousness. There is zero information in the Bible regarding the age of the earth yet you claim to know somehow. Even Jesus Christ himself does not know when the end comes (only the Father) yet somehow you are mighty enough to know the earth is 6000 years old? hmmm. Away form me you Pharisee.
Why should I bother? How do I know you are not going to look at the technical limitations of our current dating methods and use that as an excuse to dismiss it offhand?
The decaying spead of light was proposed over a decade ago by Big Bangers who were trying to solve their own light travel problem re: the uniformity of the CMB (cosmic microwave background).
Then Satan is considerably smarter than God’s servants. I have yet to find an honest experimental study for Y.E.C

You contradict yourself. First you say you have no idea how old the Earth is, then you say you are certain that it is not 6000 years old.

You are treading on dangerous ground, FRiend. First, you have no scriptural warrant for what you just imputed to Jesus Christ, the Creator of the Universe and everything in it. Second, on what scriptural basis do you conclude that Jesus Christ would be displeased with Christians who believe (on faith!) in a straightforward reading of His own account of creation?

Zero information? God tells us that He created the Universe and everything in it in six normal-length Earth days. Adam was created on the sixth day of Creation Week. Jesus Christ himself tells us Himself that He created humans male and female, right from the beginning. The Bible tells us how long Adam lived, and all the patriarchs, right down to the birth of God the Son. Does this strike you as the Bible providing zero information about the age of the Earth?

Quite true, except of course what God says He cannot do. For instance, according to God, He cannot lie. I’m sure you already know this, but I thought I’d throw that in there for any lurkers who might be reading this thread.
What’s wrong with considering technical limitations, old earth assumptions, God’s Word, etc, etc?
Lets not go the direction of God cannot make a rock too big for Him to lift logic, we do not have the capacity to understand. What God says creates, the power of His word is infinite. However, I also know that for me the Bible is a beginning point of understanding, why would God put all His wisdom in a book when he is right there to ask. The Bible brings one in humility, faith, and prayer to a relationship with Him in Christ, and in that spirit, we look inside andd heavenly and say Daddy, show me your way, all I do in a fallen reality is imperfect, look at the mess I have made, the world, the hate, the lack of vision, the sins..Please Dad, I know you hear me, I know you are the alpha and omega,
Let me never deny you over that which I could not understand. I know I am but a child in the crib barely able to speak your name, but I know you are my destiny and my life.
