During the Ricky Kasso case (in which a bunch of drug-addled youths claimed that a drug-deal gone bad killing was caused by "satan worship"), a local reporter went to the park in Northport where said stoners hung out. In large letters, with a pentagram, was graffiti much like this saying "Satin Rules." So much for the supposed superiority of North Shore public schools.

The "Satan made me do it" hysteria of the 1980s seems hysterical now, but many people believed it back then.
