He shouldn’t have been allowed a Catholic mass either, imho. And hasn’t the Pope remained silent? Isn’t that indicative?

I hope he is burning in HELL!

Not me. I hope he got his salvation through Christ. We all deserve hell my friend if not for Jesus---don't wish hell on him despite all his many flaws.

For anyone who may not know 'exactly' what went down at Chappaquiddick; beyond poor Mary Jo that is; link below provides the grim, sequential details.

Might add for those 'rising generations'; you may be less familiar as to how this tragedy unfolded. This event followed Ted Kennedy like a dark spectre; because he never honestly dealt with it. - not then; not ever. 'Teddy's choice' that night; remains a 'wound' in the public consciousness' of those who still remember. As for 'the Left'; and by turn; for subsequent Generations; there is the orchestrated 'blurring of details'; that passes as the the 'rewrite of record' that the Kennedy's carefully scripted.

[For those young and uninitiated to this story; it was not a death from the accident per se; and by all medical/scientific accounts; Ms. Kopechne would not have died, had Ted gotten help; in 'emergency' fashion. ]

Jesus, IMHO; saved mankind from a 'pernmanent hell'; but do not believe we are exempt from what we might call a visitation of 'hell' - and for a time; personally determined; be it 'short or long; or more critically, the experience of such timing, per this hellish experience.

Time IS relative; and believe it is equally relative; as one revisits their own 'harm done' - ala 'Scrooge'-like, perhaps. . .during their earthtime. That would be hell, for sure.

Mankind may be forgiven it's Ignorance; it's ignorant way; but shlould not necessarily mean, again and in MHO. . .that we do not incur and invite; a 'penalty' for ignorance at it's worst.

Why else 'choice'?

‘Seems enough scratch will buy whatever religious send-off you want from this life.
Though it still appears as an equation, which has yet another side.

Purgatory is the place for uncle teddy....he should be given a comfortable chair and should face every one of the millions of children who were aborted through his actions and influence....they should each ask him “senator, why was your life, and the lives of your children and grandchildren, more important than my life?....after receiving hes answer, they should be allowed to tell him what they would have done for humanity if their lives had been protected......I would have discovered a cure for brain canceer, I would have perfected cold fusion which would have given everyone in the world cheap, clean energy forever, I would have established a means to insure everyone in the world a living income, I would have spent my life helping the poor and become a saint....etc etc etc

According to everything the Church teaches he should have had a private Cathokic funeral, at best. It is possible he had a death bed reconciliation with the Church.Since he openly lived his whole life in defiance of Church teachings,it means either the Bishops agree with him or they don’t care about their teachings.
Kennedy is a disgrace and so are all of the participating church officials.

There are numerous points to obtain valid info on Chappaquiddick.

Many places on the net. Even FBI files.

Here's one place:

Thanks for feedback; but address works for me! Not sure why you might have problem; (save in last posting it was a copy/paste) and yes; certainly not the only link for info; there are plenty out there; but having visited more than few; still think this one of the best - and most comprehensive reads.

The Kennedy Chronicles

CHAPPAQUIDDICK: A Profile in Cowardice Ted Kennedy, the accident, and the cover-up

All the articles and information contained on these pages are compiled from official documents and previously published materials.

This site contains extensive coverage of the circumstances surrounding the infamous accident at Chappaquiddick July 19, 1969

["Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law? Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?"/- Senator Ted Kennedy, 1973 - ]

Whatever the case; Ted not only poses the question; he answers it; at least from a Kennedy perspective.

You are wrong my friend...What SIN did Jesus say was unforgiveable? If Ted Kennedy asked Jesus for forgiveness on his abortion stance, you know what he is forgiven...
his slate is wiped cleaned...

You condemning him to hell is really condemning yourself.
This is based on the Word of GOD...

JOHN 8:11
Christ neither found fault with the law, nor excused the prisoner’s guilt; nor did he countenance the pretended zeal of the Pharisees.

Those are self-condemned who judge others, and yet do the same thing.

All who are any way called to blame the faults of others, are especially concerned to look to themselves, and keep themselves pure.

In this matter Christ attended to the great work about which he came into the world, that was, to bring sinners to repentance; not to destroy, but to save.

He aimed to bring, not only the accused to repentance, by showing her his mercy, but the prosecutors also, by showing them their sins; they thought to insnare him, he sought to convince and convert them.

He declined to meddle with the magistrate’s office. Many crimes merit far more severe punishment than they meet with; but we should not leave our own work, to take that upon ourselves to which we are not called.

When Christ sent her away, it was with this caution, Go, and sin no more.

Those who help to save the life of a criminal, should help to save the soul with the same caution.

Those are truly happy, whom Christ does not condemn. Christ’s favour to us in the forgiveness of past sins should prevail with us, Go then, and sin no more
