Wow great post.

It's a good article. I especially like point 3 about DNA information and how it's coded. Pretty much smashes any idea that there wasn't a designed of the system.

Yep, and every day we can be thankful that Lord Vishnu designed it all for us through the actions of his servant, Brahma!

This one is really good. The real question is, are there any ten things old Chuck Darwin ever got right, or even one thing for that matter?

Well you're off to a good start! You just need to brush up on your theology a bit... :-)

What? You mean creation is a theological - not scientific - thing? Well, which creation story is right? As far as the evidence goes - including that from the Discovery Institute and other ID proponents - the timeline from the Hindu creation story is 100% correct.

So why isn’t the Hindu story the right one?

It's both actually.

Well, which creation story is right? As far as the evidence goes - including that from the Discovery Institute and other ID proponents - the timeline from the Hindu creation story is 100% correct.

I haven't seen that and I don't really follow the Discovery Institute findings so I'll take your word for it.

So why isn’t the Hindu story the right one?

If you're asking me based on direct experience then it's because I have the indwelling spirit of Jesus Christ which validates the inspiration of the words in what we call the "bible".

Thats’s cool... So your creation story is based on faith, which is no more than what you claim for Darwinian evolution. As long as we’re square on that, no problem...

Well, faith coupled with evidence. I'm not a total idiot. I wouldn't believe it was created if there were obvious evidence against it. But all evidence points to a creation and scripture confirms and reinforces it.

All scientific theories are up for revision and reconstruction.

It doesn’t matter if he wasn’t EXACTLY right, we’ve been able to build on it and arrive at the truth we know today, dontcha know?

You have a better suggestion for how information got here and why everything looks like it's been designed, something even Dawkins grudgingly acknowledges?

"Thats’s cool... So your creation story is based on faith, which is no more than what you claim for Darwinian evolution. As long as we’re square on that, no problem..."

Actually, there's really not the contradiction between Scripture and current scientific findings like the evos like to claim there is.

For example......

Gen 1:1 In the beginning.....

There was a beginning supported by the Big Bang Theory and Einstein’s equations and Hubble’s observations.

Gen 1:2 The earth was formless and void,...

Supported by the solar nebula theory and the proto earth.

Gen 1:20 ”Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures,

Scientists say that life arose in the seas.

Gen 1:24 ”Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind...

Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground,

“Shaped from clay [origin of life]”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1515522/posts

Scientists have concluded that clay was necessary for the formation of life.

Eccles 1:6 Blowing toward the south, Then turning toward the north, The wind continues swirling along; And on its circular courses the wind returns.

Scripture describes the circulating system of winds.

Eccles 1:7 All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, There they flow again.

The Bible also describes the water cycle.

Lev 17:10 - 12 `And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.
`For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
“Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, `No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’

Blood is necessary for life. The life is in the blood.

Isa 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Earth is round. Could also refer to the orbit of the earth as seen from space.

Job 9 5, 8 ”It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger; 8.Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea;

The expansion of the universe.

Col 1: 15- 17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

All things are being held together; gravitation, strong and weak nuclear forces, magnetism.

***************************************************

Now, would you like to provide as much support for your Hindu creation account?

Oh, and while your at it, please explain how the writers of Scripture were able to so have so much knowledge of things that they were incapable of knowing anything about.

Yep, and every day we can be thankful that Lord Vishnu designed it all for us through the actions of his servant, Brahma!

[the real answer to this one]

I couldn't RECOMMEND Vishnu and/or Vishnuism... But if all you require is something to replace evoloserism with, Vishnu will do. In fact almost anything would be an improvement; you could not do worse than a brain-dead ideological doctrine which stands everything we know about modern mathematics and probability theory on its head by demanding an infinite series of zero-probability events and violations of probabilistic laws. The great pumpkin and pumpkinism would do for that matter.

Again, I would RECOMMEND Christianity if somebody were looking for a recommendation but, if all somebody needs is a replacement for evolution, that isn't asking for very much.

This is a completely disingenuous article. You are criticizing Darwin for not having the benefit of information and tools that would not be available until 100 years after his death. This only serves to reinforce the significance of his contribution to science.

Ironically, and unknown to non-scientific types, theories evolve and get refined as new data becomes available. Because Darwin did not have benefit of a thorough knowledge of DNA is meaningless. Even today there is still an incomplete understanding of DNA.

It’s all about Number 10. 1-9 are just the end justifying the means.

"It’s all about Number 10."

The final paragraph of the The Origin of Species" includes:

There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone circling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved." [Emphasis added by me.]
