Come on sweetie, how about a straight answer? I try to be straight with you. If you ask me anything about my beliefs I will tell you straight up.

So, please, did Jesus tell the Pharisees the truth about marriage in heaven, or did He lie to them because they were dogs and swine?

That doesn’t answer my question. Jesus told the Pharesees there was no marriage in heaven. Did He tell them the truthy?

BTW my conversion was in 1982 and when I had the discussions with the missionaries the opening prayer to Heavenly Father always invited the present of the Holy Ghost in the Name of Jesus Christ!

They would...

You were a nominal Christian at the time and they learned by 1980s to use the Christian Holy Ghost as a come on...

They though they might need to work that trick on you to lure you in...

and with you it worked...

If they hadnt used a mention of a Holy Ghost would you have still turned your back on the Christian Jesus ???

Resty, I am not putting words in your mouth. And it’s a little outrageous to say so in one breath and then in the next tell me and the rest of us Christians posting here that we have not accepted the Lord’s gift. I think that goes waaaaay beyond mind-reading.

****

pondering what the other says is a great tool instead of assuming that is all there is is the written word.

Why can’t any of you accept the Lord’s gift...

You all are living the walk you want who am I I don’t walk in your shoes nor do I want too!

If you had ponder you might have realized what I was saying is why can’t you just be satisfy with the Lord’s gift and stop trying to get others to walk your walk we are all different.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions” so we all can be happy on our journey towards our goal the Father knows each of our hearts and minds and did not the Lord say “I go to prepare a place for you!”

John 14

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also

And jesus christ restore his hhurch through his servant and prophet Joseph Smith!
_____________________________________

Maybe the false mormon jesus, the devil fooled a few odd people into believing such blasphemy...

But the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible never lost, dropped, misplaced, or had stolen His Church...

It is impossible for that to ever happen...

The son of perdition Joey Smith was a liar and a conartist who perverted the Word of God and used it in order to get lots of illict sex, money and power...

It worked for a while...

and then the real Jesus showed up and destroyed that charlatan Joey Smith...

My benchmark is the scriptures and the witness of the Holy Spirit.

More likely the word of a convicted con-man SAYING he had the word of one of the mormon 'gods' - the god of this world.

__________________________________________

So for 50 years you were a Presbyterian and never opened the Bible ??? Never read about the Holy Ghost ???

Are you saying that the mormons who are non-Christians and deny the Trinity and the Third Person of the Trinity, knew about the Christian Holy Ghost and you didnt ???

At 10 years old I knew about the Holy Ghost ...

What was wrong with you ???

We have...

Thats why we reject the charatan joey Smith...

The “Lord’s gift” doesnt include Joey Smith...

While Joey Smmith is in the picture there is no Lord’s gift, but a false religion...

I can ponder until the cows come home. I am satisfied but we are not to stop there. We are to preach the gospel.

I can ponder about why you wrefuse to answer my questions about if Jesus told the truth to the Pharisees about marriage in heaven.

I have often pondered about you quoting from a book in which yiu have no faith. Why is that?

You don’t really read my post it seems you react to them!

I was Presbyterian for about 7 years left when I was around 20!

My first church was Church of the Nazarene around 6 and my first introduction to the Bible was around 4 from my father who told me about Noah Ark!

After the Nazarene I did attend church with friends of various faiths until around 12 when I choose the Presbyterian Church.

I was the only one going to church I choose to go on my own all my life!

My folks were good people and strived to live the ten commandments they were of different faiths and let me decide for my self which one I want to join.

I attended a revile once and wanted to scram as fast as I could it was creepy that was not the spirit of the Lord.

I knew the Lord had more for His children so I spend an 18 year quest looking for the truth.

And the farest thing in my mind would be the Mormons but little did I know it was where the Lord restored His Kingdom on earth!

I am sad at the Joy so many are missing in their lives.

The Lord is always witnessing to me and helping me to be a better person.

Making me aware how gracious and patient He is with me

It is people who get caught up in the letter of the law and it can happen in any religion or community the uptightness of the puritans baggage still lingers in America.

It is more present in the mainstream churches unless it is one of those infiltrated by the Marxist than it is real lax.

We can only modify our behavior when we let the love of the Lord assist instead of the will power method which never follows through it is love for the Lord and wanting to feel His presents when the Lord is real please I know the different and yet there are times I think the Lord will be displease but he is patient that is so beautiful.

I am so thankful I have refuge from the world Take my yoke upon you and learn of Him and He will give you rest.

During the 1960s70s80s mormons denied the Holy Spirit... [TN]

That is an out right lie! [Restornu]

March 2, 1982, "Our Relationship with the Lord" devotional @ BYU by Lds "apostle" Bruce R. McConkie, the only lds general authority presumptive enought to write a book called "Mormon Doctrine" & have it in print for about half a century:

We do not worship the Son, and we do not worship the Holy Ghost.

Now that is denying the Holy Spirit! (Are you going to call McConkie an "out right liar?")

Bruce R. McConkie like the Pratt brothers had their opinions on things there were times they struck gold and other times they got carried away.

No man is perfect in all things nor is the LDS we all have our baggage which will influence our thoughts so that is why in John it said always try the spirit no one can escape the opposition trying to detract us.

Even the Prophets teach all of the LDS to pray and get a confirmation for ourselves when a revelation is given.

Yes!

It depends on what heaven they were talkhg about because the heaven being discribed was terrestial there is no marriage in that heaven!

Their purpose was to contend they had no interest in truth
they were there to catch Jesus in a snare!

Why is it that when Tennessee Nana says something about Mormons denying the Holy Spirit, you label her an "outright" liar? But if a Mormon "apostle" says something which denies the Holy Spirit, you suddenly become very charitable in your description of him -- describing him as...
...opinionated,
..."no man is perfect in all things,"
..."we all have our baggage..."???

Why didn't you respond to 'Nana and simply say, "I see, Nana, that you're opinionated, nobody's perfect in all things, etc.? Why did you automatically assume the worst and attribute malice & motive when McConkie didn't receive the same assumption from you?

If you're going to treat a Mormon leader one way and let them off the hook, shouldn't you be consistent and do the same with others -- instead of flailing about with horrendous descriptions and motives of FREEPERS here?

Don't you know that hypocrisy is a sin that Jesus came down very hard on the Pharisees about? They didn't want Jesus to heal on the Sabbath day.

Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?"...Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?" (Luke 14:3,5)

It bothered them so much, "So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him." (John 15:16)

Are you going to repent of your hypocrisy, Resty? We're all inconsistent, Resty. We all need Jesus to come in and forgive our inconsistency. But will you admit that it's there for Him to forgive? A physician will not cure something we don't go to him to address.

No, it's called making a statement based on prior experience, and your metaphors are all jumbled up.

It's LdS inc. who have jumped the shark.

If I'm "mindreading" as opposed to predicting the future, please prove me wrong.

And again, you do not address the statements, you only go running down rabbit trails without answering to your outrageous statements about "knowing for a fact that all mainstream have danced around the doctrine...".

Please provide the proof that supports your claim. Otherwise, it's you who has "jumped the shark".
