How do posters think Sarah Palin fits into all this?

High blood pressure has nothing to do with this; it amounts to a deflection or an attemtp to deflect from “the truth”...boy that cried wolf....making him look like an amatuer....remember it. Take care and may the Lord continue to bless you.

Ironicly Turkey went Islamic due to human rights crusade and demand that they be just like us. When Turkey overthrew their Ottoman government and embarked on modernity, the Army officers who took control understood fundamentalist Islam was holding the country back. They also understood the fundamentalists were the majority in their nation and modernist were the minority. Thus the Turkish Army became another branch of government that vetoed any elections that ushered in an Islamic movement and during the Cold War elections that ushered in Pro Soviet movement to power. Western Europe and to an extent the US howled about the lack of democracy in Turkey. Today Turkey is attempting to join the EU. One of the preconditions demanded is the Turkish military must be subservient to an elected government. Thus the road to Islamic control in Turkey is underway with demogagues using Islamic ignorant population to come to power and propel Turkey to become the leader in the Islamic World ala Restoration of the Ottoman Empire. Another lesson learned for the US, do not jump into internal affairs and/or create inter ethnic conflicts based on good intentions. In the Middle East and in fact many places in the world you only get involve in an intractable conflict and create enemies. We are suppose to be the New World for the Old World to see and if by their choice emanate, not the leader of the Free World (invented by Pres Wilson to justify US crusade in WW1) where we end up being the policeman of the world.

yes, you are trying to deflect the truth! God’s word IS the truth. Just because the “end times” may cover a significantly longer period of time than the little gods of this world think it should be, does not change the facts!

Sorry, I'm going to go with what God said would happen.

The seven year Tribulation will affect the entire world and every single human being.

Hmmm... I haven't seen that.

I've read many, many Biblically-based articles about many topics on RaptureReady. Especially on prophecy.

Exactly!

Almost every prophecy thread on Free Republic, with the exception of those which are "caucuses", are in and of themselves fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jesus had this to say about people who will not see the proof in front of their faces:

Now when the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, they asked him to show them a sign from heaven. He said, “When evening comes you say, ‘It will be fair weather, because the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, because the sky is red and darkening.’ You know how to judge correctly the appearance of the sky, but you cannot evaluate the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” Then he left them and went away. (Matthew 16:1-4)

We are definitely living in the generation spoken of by Jesus for His return.

you would use a biblical quote on scoffers to attempt to discredit, refute, or counter another’s counter mention or argument.

Instead of seeing it as a refute (condemnation) why not see it as correction. Hopefully, you aren't offended by correction. I'd still be in the pit, if I didn't welcome correction.

Whiners and losers try to predict it.

And I believe that is what you are doing. You are the one whining because of your own experience. No one here is predicting but following what The Word says. So you are caught in your own little spin of deceit - a web you created yourself.

God's children have JOY and PEACE in their Spirit - they have no reason to WHINE. Thank you, JESUS, for YOUR WORD.

I think anti-Catholicism is much more prevalent today.

No, there aren't any nations vowing to "wipe Catholicism off the map", and there aren't any nations that are the process of positioning weapons at a Catholic border. And that's just two examples of the world-wide hate.

No, I think the Jews have the Catholics beat in the objects of irrational hatred department.

"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL....But this man, after He had offered ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS FOREVER, sat down on the right hand of God....for by ONE offering he hath perfected FOREVER them that are sanctified."(Hebrews 10:10,12,14).

Feeling persecuted? READ YOUR BIBLE

Not even close, it's just popular in the RCC to "play the victim". It's insulting to suggest that disagreement about a church's beliefs is in the same ball park as the unrelenting attack on Jews/Israel by the tools of Satan.

EXACTLY. As my post above yours tried to point out. If you’re in the Church and feeling persecuted, how about searching the Scriptures for Truth. “Woe unto me” isn’t pretty. Hatred of the Jews is in a WHOLE other sphere. And I would be ashamed of myself if I couldn’t see the difference. Maranatha!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Famine_%28Ireland%29

Yes, only around a million Irish Catholics died in the great famine. Another million came to the US. The starving were offered a bowl of soup to convert, of course. And the charity gathered from all the world was administered by the protestants of England. Naturally it all went to help the dying. /sarc

Amen!

Even if a church has defective eschatological doctrines, as Christians we should support Israel. If for no other reason than the Jews have been so persecuted by so many for so long and deserved none of it. The Holy Spirit should be pulling at us to help those that get treated badly.

The worst persecutor of the Christian churches now plays the victim card. The leader of this church supports the enemies of Israel, who have proclaimed time and again their desire to kill all the Jews and this church is a poor persecuted victim?

Get real!

Who is playing the victim card? Ireland never asked for charity. What was funny, was England asking for charity for Ireland, then “administering” it.
