Maybe you’re a good person to ask: what does the Catholic Church teach regarding Israel? Do you teach that you are the spiritual Jews and that the Covenants God promised to Israel are yours now?

No. That’s been answered before. That was rejected by the Catholic Church. But you might ask proddies about replacementararianism along with the anti-Semitic corollaries the presbyterians teach.

Believe me, a lot of Protestants have HUGE problems with Replacement Theology which is an especially insidious form of anti-Semitism.

Anyone who doesn't have a firm grasp of Scripture can be susceptible to the sickening lie of Replacement Theology.

Replacement Theology exists because the Word of God is not rightly divided. Lots of problems exist because 2Timothy 2:15 is ignored.Maranatha!

Replacement Theology exists because the Word of God is not rightly divided.

The amill view seems to be held by those churches that were a part of the state-church model. I believe the RCC, Anglicans, Lutherans, and Presbyterians all hold to amill covenant theology.

“A more balanced perspective is given by Peter, who writes, “But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. . . . Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace” (2 Pet. 3:8–14).”

Amill, sort of...

As far as that “replacement theology goes, let’s look at Holy Scripture:

Romans 11:11-32 (King James Version)

11I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

12Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

14If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

15For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

16For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father’s sakes.

29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

The Catholic Church rejects replacement theology.

Thank you for that, Judith Anne.

The Scripture on this is pretty plain and simple and straightforward.

This is from your catechism at Vatican.va

676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,577 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.578

I took this from wikipedia re: Millenarianism

A core doctrine in Christian eschatology is the expectation of the Second Coming and the establishment of the Kingdom of God on Earth. According to prophecies in the Revelation of John, this kingdom of God on Earth will last a thousand years (a millennium).[1]

If you're church rejects a 1,000 yr reign of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and instead holds when Jesus Christ comes it's to give a final judgment before establishing a new Jerusalem what about Israel?

Amillennialism, not a millennialism.

I guess reading Bible prophecy, and believing it, and then watching and seeing things happen bit by bit and piece by piece, helps to see things as they really are.

I am amazed (and sometimes just a tad "nervous") at the speed and frequency that things are beginning to happen.

What you said and I am awed at the fact that I am part of the generation that is witnessing all these events and will see the return of Christ.

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. The Dispensation of the Grace of God. The Church the Body of Christ.

26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. The Dispensation of the Millennial Kingdom. God's promises and convenants for the nation Israel. A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people. (IPeter 2:9).

God will bring to fruition His purposes for both the nation Israel and the Body of Christ in the Dispensation of the Millennial Kingdom. And they are different.
