Do you expect a version of Wife Swap when you join your husband in eternal matrimony? Are you OK with it?
Jesus Christ, eternally God, neither created nor made Ping!
Resty, dearest old friend...
I’ve tried to gently point out to you on a number of
occasions over the years, to understand the Bible,
you have to take verses in context. You cannot just
seize on a word and apply that word to whatever you
want it to say.
Isaiah 43 is about Israel as God’s servant.
The young nation was surrounded by many other nations
with a vast pantheon of “gods” - idols created by men,
that they claimed were gods... not unlike the trillions
of gods in the mormon pantheon of gods.
God is setting the record straight. None of them were
formed (from wood, stone, gold, silver, etc.) before
Him. None would be a god after Him.
This passage disproves the central tenant of your church -
that you can become a god. God says it isn’t going to
happen. Who are you going to believe? The writings of
Joseph Smith or God’s own words in the Bible?
Philippians 2
Again, dear friend. You try so hard on these threads to
defend the indefensible.
Philippians 2 makes it clear that Jesus Christ was always
GOD, but humbled Himself to take on a human body and
become a sacrifice because of God’s love for a fallen
humanity. And that includes you, dear one.
The fact that God the Father has exalted the name of Jesus
Christ does nothing to prove your point. In fact, it should
be a warning to you and every mormon that God’s way is
humility first, then recognition - not self-righteous
claims followed by godhood. It isn’t going to happen.
The fact that Jesus Christ brought glory to God the Father
does nothing to promote the mormonite message or disprove
the Bible. It is a wonderful thing.
I am taking the time to answer your posting with the hope
that you and others who have believed the mormonic lies
about the nature of God and the Gospel will respond with an
open heart and trust Him.
Best,
ampu
Thanks for the link, and Elsie for posting it.
Here I am trying to catch up on this fast moving thread, and lo I see this kitten picture so sweet and funny...cracked me up! This thread needs that kind of break... God has such a great sense of humor He shares with us!
OK
I’ll just put you down as “not a twoo believer in Joey’S Myth” then shall I ???
I like that part.
So do I
:)
.......”brother of lucifer”.......uh??????
Ok now I need to know where that comes from...as Lucifer does not ever share his domain with a family member.;)
If this a true statement by you, Sandy, then you are not mormon. The mormon jesus requires and requires and requires for salvation, that is not the Jesus of the Bible.
lds believe that Jesus and satan are brothers. IE: both created beings.
Sister. ....well I start a new job next week, had thought it would be this week but it was pushed out today...two weeks of training and orientation ahead. You know how that is...but even so...until my feet hit the actual showroom floor...I’ll be hanging around FR...maybe just not as much then.
As you know “slaying dragons” is hard work!
Probably the same reason that these women are smiling.
Cute, aren't they?
It stems from mormon teachings (not found in the BoM) that heavenly father and heavenly mother are busy procreating in heaven to populate their heaven with spirits so that they can populate earth with their spirit babies.
It’s supposed to “make sense” that since we call God “Heavenly Father”, there must be a “Heavenly Mother”.
Only the “valiant” spirits in heaven get to come to earth and get a body to earn their way back to heaven in pursuit of godhood (males) to rule over their own planet. Then they can engage in polygamous “marriages” in heaven and repeat the process ad infinitum.
The polygamy aspect stems from the teachings that mormon females who are in the celestial kingdom without being sealed to their earthly husbands or whose husbands were not worthy of godhood or cast into outer darkness can then be “married” to one of the gods in the celestial kingdom.
Therefore, the mormon jesus and lucifer have to have been siblings in heaven.
All of that stuff is supposed “revelation” and the teachings of their prophets.
That’s the Reader’s Digest version.
Wait, wait! A pygmy curelom? Pick me! Pick me! I knew it was heno-whatever...
Well, it sounded kinda like Mormonism, or at least Battlestar Galactica maybe...
Can I pet the pygmy curelom, at least?
(Interesting choice on your part!)
Well, that's another Joseph Smith lie....he was truly under the influence of demonic influence to have stated this....and all that follows this statement you posted really is allot of gibberish from a seemingly incoherent man....he sounds just like Mohammad in his writings...This would be so since he modeled himself after Mohammad. I suspect if we had good photos of both their countenances would reflect similar demeanor's.
NOW you've done it!
She will now hit the ABUSE button and YOUR reply will disappear!
(Dang!
Maybe THIS one, too!)
It the reply above GONE yet???
