Barbra Streisand didn’t show up at the fundraiser last night, even though she was one of the co-hosts.
The most dependable vote for Democrats after the African American vote is the Jewish vote. There was a time when the Jewish vote before 1964 was even more dependable than the African American vote. All these articles that conjure up the fantasy that the Republicans can capture these 2 groups’ votes is just that-fantasy.No use wasting rhetoric or campaign money chasing these groups.Politically, the best one can hope for is that they do not show up at the polls.
Not a chance. The Great Zero has lost his mojo, and is fast slip sliding down the memory hole of history. There's a strong chance that his party won't even nominate him in 2012.
Not a single reliable indicator points to his having any chance of re-election two years from now. Frankly, the jury's now out on whether he'll even finish his term.

I’ll believe it when I see the change in donations and voting paterns. Not before.
I agree, the American Jews have been a very dependable Democrat vote for years. But, part of that is because the US has always be a reliable ally of Israel. Whichever party has held the White House, there have been enough Republicans and pro-Israel Democrats that Israel could always count on our support. Until 2008, when the Dems got a large majority in Congress and we have a guy in the White House who is clearly an Islamic sympathizer who has demonstrated a desire to please the Islamic world, which is inconsistent with being an ally of israel. I hope this is enough to force the American Jews to realize that the “New Liberal Democrat Progressive” sees the Islamic world as worthy of sucking up to for various reasons. And now that Iran will have nukes in about a week or so, this could be a major problem.

And, I would not be surprised if Hillary ran against him in a Cahtah-Kennedy replay in 2012.

I'd love to see all of the pent-up anger about the outcome of the 2008 Democrat nomination fiasco burst to the surface again. What a show that would be!
I think Obama's more likely to take her in as his vice presidential candidate.
Biden isn't going to do him any good at the polls.
But you may see a John Anderson sort of liberal independent candidate supported by the New Republic types.

Let’s face it. American Jews — generally speaking — are lefties. That’s quite simply an historical fact. I am a firm supporter of Israel, and will side with her on the vast majority of her positions. American Jews, though, from what I’ve seen and experienced — again, generally speaking — are only “convenient” supporters of Israel. I don’t understand it. Unless, for some unfathomable reason, they prefer victimhood — and what they think it can bring them — over honor and pride and love of Judaism and all it represents. But, I’m goyim, so what do I know.
I agree. Baraq's best hope is Clintonian plurality win in a 3-way race. I expect the 3rd party to be surreptitiously funded by Sorosbucks. Maybe Charlie Crist if he can pull off the Florida win.

I swear Obama has a plan in works to fool all the Jews in America into taking a cruise, a vacation or something in the same fashion as in the TV mini series “Winds of War”.
I really do believe Obama would try some form of eradication of Jews, it could be from taking the children away to sterilization and them not knowing it.

I do not think the support of Israel issue holds the pull it used to for the American Jewish community. At least not enough for them to overcome their naturally ingrained politically liberal impulses. I think this is particularly true for younger Jewish people who do not have the same affinity with Israel as the older generations did.The Israel issue is important to the Orthodox Jewish community but they are very small in numbers here compared to the Reform Jewish community. At best a strong Republican stance in support of Israel may sway a few Jewish votes but overwhelmingly the Jewish vote will still remain with the Democrats.
