So... let me see if I have this right.

Instead of actualy praying to God, you ASK mary to put in a good word for you? Aren’t their people already ahead of you waiting to talk right to God?

That doesn’t seem fair at all.

But OK. If Mary asked Jesus to make wine then I guess we can should ASK Mary to ask God to let us bump in the head of the line- oops I mean ‘intercede’

I don’t think God deals in lines... He’s not the DMV. Which reminds me, I have to go to the DMV soon and they think they’re God.

I’m not sure I agree with the way Salvation characterized Catholic devotional practice where it concerns Mary and the saints. As far as I’m concerned I do pray “to” Mary even if I’m asking for her intercession in the same way I might talk “to” my wife when I ask her to call her mother to babysit the kids.

Beyond that, Catholics do pray to God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Part of the problem is that Catholics and Protestants understand the word “pray” differently.

Same thing. We ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to pray for us.

I know for me, I can use all the prayers I can get.
