Mountain Meadows Massacre drawing by T.B.H. Stenhouse, 1873

The Mountain Meadows Massacre On September 11, 1857 approximately 120 men, women, and children in a wagon train from Arkansas were murdered by a band of Mormons set on a holy vengeance.

Which Book of Mormon is true? The 1830 edition or the 1962 version?

And if Joseph’s stone in the hat would not change a sentence until the scribe(Oliver, Martin, Emma) wrote it word and punctuation perfect, why did it have to be changed?

it’s a religious novel written by Joseph Smith in very bad imitation King James English.

It is about the soul not the body.

From your own post:

There are allegations that Mormons in the Mountain Meadows area created unrest among the Native population

Then you add an artists rendition of what may have happened.

Look FRiend, there are more serious issues and threats to this Country then some Mormon's who are sneaking over your shoulder to take over the White House and rule this Country.

As I stated in the beginning of this thread, I do not agree with the LDS but posting thread like this are nothing but a waste of time and a distraction from what is really going on.

LAST CONFESSION AND STATEMENT OF JOHN D. LEE.

"It was also voted to turn all the property over to Klingensmith, as Bishop of the Church at Cedar City, and he was to take care of the property for the benefit of the Church, until Brigham Young was notified, and should give further orders what to do with it."

"I know all were acting under the orders and by the command of their Church leaders; and I firmly believe that the most of those who took part in the proceedings, considered it a religious duty to unquestioningly obey the orders which they had received. That they acted from a sense of duty to the Mormon Church...."

Thank you for posting this. I had never heard about the gold plates. I still don't know much about how Mormons differ from regular Christians, but I guess it may become important for us to find out.

Thanks again.

No Christian Church believes mormonism is a Christian faith.

“the Book of Mormon documents the lives of the inhabitants of the Americas, primarily from approximately 600 B.C. through A.D. 421. “

Given that there is no archeological evidence of any of the claims in this book of mormon, this sentence should probably read...

“the Book of Mormon claims to record the lives of the inhabitants of the Americas, primarily from approximately 600 B.C. through A.D. 421... though there are no cities, no people, no artifacts, no metal objects, etc.”

1. lds believe/teach God was once a man
2. lds believe/teach that Adam was God
3. lds believe/teach Jesus is created not eternal
That’s just a start.
