Thank you Saint Jude for answered prayers
Idolatry. Only God can answer prayer.
Whatever the comments, you had to say thank you, and I’m glad for the result of your prayers. :)
I’m glad their prayer was answered however I highly doubt St. Jude had anything to do with it.
Most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honours and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Please pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Please make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Please come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly in converting the hearts of those who mock the one, holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I promise, O blessed Saint Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour, to always honour you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.
Thank you, St. Jude, for favors granted.
Nope, nothing about Jude there. Fail.
She/He is not being idolatrous. She/He is merely asking St. Jude to pray for her.
Have you ever asked anyone to pray for you?
Catholics believe that the Saints in heaven can intercede — ask Christ — to answer our prayer.
Did not the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for the couple who ran out of wine at the Wedding of Cana?
What is wrong with interceding for someone?
Answer: Nothing at all.
St. Jude may have died physically, but he is alive in heaven.
If your argument held water, then we wouldn’t be able to pray to Jesus Christ either, because he, too, died.
Well, Catholics do not believe the same as you, as far as intercessory prayers to the saints are concerned. Do you need to argue about it?
The bible is clear. Only Jesus can intercede. Jesus is God. You need not go anywhere else. The post here is thanking Jude for answered prayer where this is not possible and a slap in God’s face. God answers prayer. No need for praying to dead people who can’t hear your prayers. Making up your own belief and gods whom you pray to is idolatry.
Anyone who loves God with all their heart and soul and thus becomes purified of all earthly darkness, sin and taint, surely can hear your prayers, whether they are still in the earthly body or not.
“Death” is the death of the body, not the soul. The soul is eternal, and those pure souls who return to God after death can certainly hear your prayers.
Those who say otherwise are speaking out of ignorance and fear.
