Emergency Prayer Request

An emergency prayer request for a member of our congregation: A young lady named Havanna has been rushed to the hospital with a ruptured appendix. Please lift her up in prayer for healing.

If one of my Jewish friends, whether traditional or Messianic, would be so kind as to post the benediction for healing from the Amidah for Havanna bat Sarah, I would greatly appreciate it.

Lord God,

Thanking you for the care you have so quickly given Havana in the answer to the many prayers on her behalf... and that those who are necessary for her recovery are close by as well as her loved ones.

We know that you do all things well Lord..and that our times are in your hands. We can trust you for Havanna and that you know the road she has traveled, now travels, and that in the future..... She’s reached a bump Lord..let it be so that this is all that it is, and that in time she will recover well to continue the path you have laid before her.

In Him who holds us all in the palm of His hand...Amen.

Here's the latest from her father, as of when I checked messages this morning:

Havana is hanging in like a trooper. On morphene, strong antibiotics. Dr says in hospital 1-2 wks, antibiotics 6 wks, return to have appendix removed in 2 months. Not out of the woods yet, so please keep praying that all works. She's really sick.

Thank you very much to everyone who is keeping her in prayer. I'll continue to post updates as I get them.

Thank you Judith. I was just informed this morning that my father passed to be with his Lord this morning at 4am.

My sincerest sympathies for you and yours in your time of grief. I will lift you up in prayer as you have gracefully lifted Havana up, and will also bless the Holy One that you know Who your father rests in.

I just got back from the hospital. Havana is in good spirits and her pain levels are low enough that they're not giving her medication except when she's ready to sleep. They originally predicted that she would be in the hospital for two weeks; now they're discussing sending her home in four days, baruch Hashem!

Thank you all very much for your prayers, and please continue to lift her up since she has a long antibiotic regimine ahead of her with surgery after that.

Mike, it is instructive. Whether for Havanna bat Sarah, America, or Israel, abandoning all pretense in desperate prayer before the Throne accomplishes much.

Such great news! If I may ask for prayers for my husband for tomorrow’s procedure. He failed his stress test. They believe he has two heart blockages. Tomorrow they will go in and place stints. Prayers for a successful and safe procedure would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That being said, Havana will be very happy to be home sooner than later I am guessing. God is indeed good.
