That is just a false statement. The majority of protestant churches that are not liberal agree on the fundamentals of the faith, primarily that Salvation is by Grace alone, thru Faith alone, in Christ alone. Certainly you do not see "thousands" of versions of salvation formulas here or any where else from protestants. Your rhetoric is without basis and demonstrably false.

Roman Epologists cannot agree on whether salvation is by Faith and Works or submission to the pope or even IF Christ is necessary in the case of Jews and Muslims!

I’m not sure I’m following you. Acts 13:1-3 isn’t how folks are given unto marriage.....it’s ministry.

Sticking to the Bible only works if you have the right hermaneutic. That is, the litteral, grammatical, historical interpretation, or LGH as it is often referred to. Absent that, it would indeed be impossible to use the Scriptures to answer all questions of faith and practical Christian living. That’s where the sleight-of-hand wresting of Scripture comes in. I’ve seen it and I detest it.

Not sure about AOG or Pentacostals, but from my experience they do not practice a consistent hermaneutic.

I don’t know of any Scripture that allows for extra-biblical guidance, so I’m content to do what the Bible says: take God’s Word as authoritative.

On the issue of celibacy, God’s opinion on the matter reveals that leaders of the faith have liberty to marry, just as it always has been.

I don’t think it is worth the risk. The incidence of predatory abuse of children is too high.

If a homosexual proclaims their homosexuality and then asks to be respected in a leadership position as a homosexual, then their primary objective is the acceptance of their sexuality, not the leadership.

This is true for homosexuals that want to be leaders in the Boy Scouts or military personnel.

As soon as sexuality becomes the primary objective, they lose the right to be leaders just based on their misplaced priorities.

Combine that the rate of abuse of children and I see very little difference between pedophiles and open homosexuals.
