Sadly we see some of those whom you mentioned who go to any number of the Bible-based churches posting some very attacking posts even in the Religion Forum of FR.
True but they’re better there than among us. I met one such person a week ago lighting a candle. She started talking to me about angel “spirit guides” which she follows with other “protestants” on the net. When I mentioned that it was a new age thing, not in our doctrine, and not believed by mainline Protestants either she got soooooo angry. She told me she was a feminist, the Church was against women, etc. She’d been away from the Church for decades and returned 5 yrs prior and had nothing good to say about our brethern hadn’t been out in the real world and just stayed in the Church all these years. I explained I’d also been away but was thankful for those same people who kept the doors open while praying for us to come back. The whole thing was upsetting, she’s not from my parish so don’t expect to see her anytime soon, though I hope so...
