Norm,
A demon will use a variety of ways to dissuade or confuse. The 10% rule is one that could be applied here. If the demon “persuades” you to follow the teachings of JS, et al, then he’s successful in that you are chasing down rabbit trails while at the same time missing the simpler and finer points of God’s grace. Ignoring the clear and simple gospel contained in the Bible.

A demon will do that. C.S. Lewis put it quite succinctly in the Screwtape Letters. A little bit of truth mixed in with a little bit of falsehood makes for a bitter recipe.

The BoM is a compilation of errors and deceptions designed to confuse and dissuade. It is replete with errors, lack of historical or archaeological evidence, or even the so-called “fullness of the gospel”, not including the lack of discussion or evidences of the temple ordinances.

The Christian God doesn’t hide His love or the requirements of salvation from His children as mormonism does (via the necessity of a temple recommend in order to attain celestial glory).

Blessings,
SZ

What!?

I have it on GOOD authority (statue in Temple Square MUST contain the truth; right?) that the BoM DOES 'contain the fullness...'

Looky HERE!!

See!

In BIG letters it says "THE BOOK OF MORMON"

And under there it says "...contains the fullness..."

I'll bet that NORM can point us to the EXACT scriptures in the BoM where it can be found!

But a SKEPTIC might ask:

"If the BoM DOES 'contain the fullness'; just WHY does the MORMON religious organization claim all those OTHER things to be scripture, too?"

Hi there, SZ

A much as I like you and appreciate your concern, I have to disagree with you. I have the witness of the Spirit that Joseph Smith was a servant of Jesus Christ — an instrument used by God to reveal His will. I find the Book of Mormon to be a wonderful complement to the Bible — a second witness of the divinity and reality of Jesus Christ.

Best regards,

Normandy.
