If you have to play My God’s better than your God. You have proved your opinion is worthless in the first sentence. No further reading required.

Well, if that premise is true...then so is this one:

If you have to play My opinion'sGod’s better than your opinion. You have proved your opinion is worthless in the first sentence. No further reading (of your opinions) is required...nor desirable.

Why? 'Cause idol worship & voodoo & Satanism in your playbook is equivalent to the worship of the One True Holy God.

Listen mormonISM does NOT believe in the Jesus of the Bible, they teach and hold fast to a bastardized version of Jesus.
If that is acceptable to you fine, but do not try and pass that off as Christianity.

You will be following a Mormon straight to Hell.

There is only one true God, and He is a jealous God.

I believe NONE of what you write....and you can preach it all day every day, 365 days a year...and the more you preach it, the more ridiculous it sounds to me..

Well, Glen Beck forcefully declared his belief in Jesus Christ and his belief that he was saved from alcoholism because of his belief.

There are many many reasons to attack Mormonism.

But I heard him and saw he personally was speaking his truth and that is why I called BS on this thread.

Live in Utah and watch how they manage their big families, for starters. Brigham Young University. Their mission commitment. The charities they work with. Their contributions to genealogy. Avoidance of alcohol, which I must say they do better than your tea-total Baptists...

It was quite a few years back, but living among a Mormon majority had some definite upsides.

Well, look at Beck. What do you think of his works since becoming a Mormon?

It depends on how serious the errors are. There's error and then there's fatal error. Don't you think I roll my eyes at some of this? How about baptism by proxy?

I have similar reactions to a lot of Catholic habits, the overdone ritualizing, the blatant direction of prayer to objects and non-divinities. But my understanding of what makes a Christian has to do with Jesus Christ and belief in his saving grace. The other is error.

Let’s talk about the fundamental error (or maybe just misdirection) of Christianity, it is usually practiced. You people ready to hear it?

Christian actually means Christlike.

I can’t imagine that Jesus would use the profanity that Glen Beck does especially when on the air.

Catholicism, Protestantism, Evangelism, and Mormonism are all religions based upon belief in writings by others that CANNOT BE PROVEN.

Tell us, runninglips...do you always go around haranging writings from antiquity -- such as Homer, Plato & many others? (Or do you reserve your animosity for such writings from antiquity to the Scriptures? And if so, what have you got against the Scriptures in their content that is so provocative to you?)

There’s no way mormon beliefs can be said to line up with the Apostle’s Creed. Their teachings are fundamentally different from Christianity.

Just because some people are nice and decent doesn’t make them a Christian. Jesus said “You must be born again”. If a person doesn’t trust in Jesus of the Bible for forgiveness of their sins, they simply aren’t born again and will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

DC: I’ll believe and follow a Mormon as a leader.

I’ll never believe or follow a Muslim.

Glenn Beck would

He follows both...

“This place, so modest, so small, is where God chose to first reveal himself to mankind, and God fills it with his majesty. For as long as man has known God, he has come here to Jerusalem to touch the mantle of the Divine. Three faiths, three paths to God, and while the paths sometimes take us away from each other, they always return here, to Jerusalem.” (Glenn Beck in Israel, August, 2011)

Three faiths, three paths to God,

Christianity, Judaism, Islam

Do either of you agree with Beck ???

Lets see if the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible who is God agrees with Beck..

The LORD Jesus Christ said to Glenn Beck, “I AM the Way, . the Truth, and the Life. No man or woman comes to the Father except by Me.” John 14:6

AH no...

You are in error regarding the passage you are misusing about ‘by their fruits’. Find the passage in the New Testament and read the context. Yes, I could give you the verses, but it appears you are in need of opening and reading your Bible ...

If he ever read the Christian Bible he would find out that Adam never lived in Jerusalem...

You asked why were there attacks on mormonism...the reason is because Christians believe mormonism is a false religion. What you believe about religions in general is irrelevant. If you don’t want Christians to attack the teachings of mormonism, then too bad.

You state all these things based on what you understand the Mormon position is which I won’t argue, I am no expert on Mormonism

You are talking about a man, not a religion, maybe you should ask him before you assume

>>”Ho hum. Another thread to incite dislike of Mormons and Mormonism.”<<

How very true.

Google these keywords (”Body of Christ + Universal + Cult”)
and you’ll see the source of these anti-Mormon threads:

...and they call the LDS a cult! What a laugh.
