When the Church of the Good Shepherd in Binghamton, N.Y., left the Episcopal Church over disagreements about what the Bible says about sexuality, the congregation offered to pay for the building in which it worshiped. In return the Episcopal Church sued to seize the building, then sold it for a fraction of the price to someone who turned it into a mosque.

The heretics running the Episcopalian hierarchy are now expelling the orthodox. "Bishop" Jefferts Schori is quoted in the article as saying she'd prefer to sell churches to Muslims or saloonkeepers rather than faithful Christians who defy her radical agenda. Solution for old-school Anglicans - Cross the Tiber.

Omg, I'm sorry, that's just a freaking HOOT!

Just look at how the wisdom of this world is proving itself folly.

One wonders how the mother church would have treated a bid by the congregation to become Islamic and buy the joint?

Yep. It is a common practice for Moslems to built mosques on the sites of Christian churches. Normally it’s done as part of warfare, but in this era, the warfare is taking place in a subtle manner. Soon to come to a community near you.

“”We can’t sell to an organization that wants to put us out of business,” said Bishop Jefferts Schori, who added that her job is to ensure that “no competing branch of the Anglican Communion impose on the mission strategy” of the Episcopal Church. Indeed she has no complaint with Muslims, Baptists or barkeepers buying Episcopal properties—only fellow Anglicans.”

I had to read this a few times. I suspected at first the article had to be satire. But I think Schori actually said that. A brief moment of truth.

An appropriate response would be basically to excommunicate the Episcopalian church from the Anglican communion, but a step further, that they will *not only* no longer be recognized as Anglican, but they will also no longer be recognized as Christian, having doctrinally renounced the divinity of Christ.

In turn, this means not only no ecumenism with the Episcopalians, but even to no longer respect their sacraments as sacred. Those baptized by that organization, or confirmed or married will have to be re-sanctified by either an Anglican, Catholic, or Orthodox diocese, for these things to be recognized as legitimate.

This is so serious that other Protestant denominations cannot remove the “taint” of the Episcopalians, if they are willing to denounce the heresies of the Episcopalian church. They can only obtain absolution with confession, renouncing heresy and sacrilege, and to swear allegiance to all Christian articles of faith.

In not so many years a child will read a book and ask his parents, “What was the Episcopal church?”

As a former Episcopalian, I think most people would be shocked at the number of horsesarse that now wander into the near-empty pews at an Episcopal Church. Certainly, one thing stands out: The women are more masculine than the men. Another thing is the leadership’s general ignorance of scripture in general. I could go on, but the recall is painful.

I fear the Prysbyterian Church USA will find themselves in the same boat for the same reason. There is much anger in our church when the leadership voted to allow guy clurgy.

Churches, Synagogues and national symbols. Case in point the new ground zero victory mosque supported by Mayor Bloomberg. I read someplace that in the city of Alexandria Egypt archeologists believe they found the tomb of Alexander the Great, but there was a mosque over it, so this is nothing new.

But to those who want to blow us up or cut off our heads.... no problem!

This "woman" needs prayer, but I don't know if I can bring myself to it.

Yes, and I find it a little insulting that they think the World Trade Center is one of our greatest national symbols.

The Hagia Sophia was a much better national symbol.
