I trust a buddhist priest to know the difference between Jainism and Buddhism.

Sorry; I’m a follower of the Jewish Messiah.

When he’s living at a 2000 year old Buddhist temple I do. I spent 3 years is Asia where there are a lot of real Buddhists. None of them the pot laced milkshake variety.

Uriel>Sorry; I’m a follower of the Jewish Messiah.

>>So was Arius, but thankfully Santa Claus bopped him for his blasphemy.

You remind me of Petronski, he was blazingly ignorant.

Arius did not believe in the divinity of Jesus.

I believe Yah'shua is the Shekhinah; the WORD.

There is treatment for ignorance: read the WORD
seeking the Ru'ach HaKodesh to illuminate it for you.

Don’t know who Petronski was, but being I’ll take being called ignorant by you as a double-negative.

You are seeing in the scriptures what you want to see in them.

1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

So here it is...What do you see???

Not to mention, you are projecting. And besides you quote from an interpretation of the original text translated by biased translators who render what they want and omit ideas that confute their perspective.

Outrageous...Do you have any honesty???

Douay-Rheims Bible These things I write to you, that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God.

1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Jerome didn't get it quite right be he's close enough to get the gist of it...Jerome had the same perspective as the KJV translators...Obviously it;s your sentiment and bogus argument that is seriously flawed...

When you have a logical argument get back to me.

Logical argument??? Where's the 10s of thousands of different interpretations you claim you have??? You've got 'em don't ya??? Why would you refer to 10s of thousands of different interpretations if you can't find any of them???

You're not making up stuff again, are you???

C'mon, post 'em...Just post 10,000 of them...That ought to be easy enough to do...

“The 2 views presented by the article are:

1) Teaching of the Church (RCC only), or

2)”Scripture alone,” (which alleges that the Bible – as interpreted by the individual believer.)”

False. The article does not claim, nor does the Church believe, that the teachings of the Church alone are what constitutes the rule of faith.

so you are able to understand Scripture better than the Universal Church has for 2,000 years?

are you infallible in your understanding of the “plain” meaning of Scripture?

i really have to laugh sometimes. the questions were meant to be answered with a “yes” and “yes”.

my dear friend, without the Catholic Church copiously copying and protecting the Scriptures for 2,000 years, you would have no Scripture to sit there and attack the Church with.

the Church has always taught the Scriptures are the Word of God. the Church has also always taught that the oral teaching received from the Apostles is also the Word of God.

the devil spends more time attacking the Church, than he does the Scriptures. in fact, the cults all love the Scriptures and interpret them as they see fit. ever talk to a Jehovah Witness?
the devil wants people to believe the Church Jesus established has not been here for 2,000 years and there is not a visible Church. this is the big lie the devil has put forth. so if we can’t know the true Church, anybody can be the “church” Joseph Smith, Mary Baker Eddy, Ellen White, Rutherford, etc etc.

do you believe the Church has been here for 2,000 years or do you believe it went apostate and had to be “restored”?

i am saying the Scriptures were never meant to be used to privately interpret to attack the Church.

look at the fruit of this doctrine!

the devil is having a field day with the confusion, fights, and rise of the cults.

>>As did I. (From what sect?) Most Protestants, however, are unwilling to think critically about Sola Scriptura

I was Baptist of the Southern persuasion - then of the Independent persuasion, because the Southern were getting a bit too ecumenical for my taste. "Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now"

the eunuch shows the Holy Spirit provides someone to explain the Scriptures.

that someone is the same now as it was in NT times, THE CHURCH.

no verse in Scripture tells anyone to read the Scriptures and believe what they want.

Jesus established HIS CHURCH to teach and baptize.

read John 17 and see why unity in the Body of CHRIST is so important.
