Yes - I am aware that Jews are not Trinitarians either, and as soon as I posted I realized that someone would point this out and rightly so!! However their (the Jewish people) scenario is entirely different. Of course YHWH is the true God of the trinity, even though Jews don’t acknowledge the trinity, that doesn’t make it not so.

Jesus was Jewish. YHWH is His Father, and furthermore YHWH specifically announced to all that Jesus is His son at the time of Jesus’ baptism. Since the God the Father of the Trinity is exactly the same as YHWH (they are the same Being) then there is no problem.

No they bloody well don’t. I’m a Catholic who has NO USE for the Vatican or the Pope. Flame away if you want fellow Catholics but I don’t need these ossified old farts telling me I need to listen to them in order to love and serve my God. I accept the Trinity of Christ, not these old dolts making nice with a bunch of worthless Saracen bastards who call me an infidel and my Jewish brethren ‘’pigs and monkeys’’ and who would cut their heads off and mine in a heartbeat.

We can be unified in the Spirit, even if not under the Bishop of Rome.

What does John 3:16 have to do with what you posted?

The creeds define what Christians believe, including John 3:16.

The bottom line is Jesus is coming soon. There are worldviews who want to eliminate Christians and Jews, and we as Christians (Catholic & Protestants) need to stick together to be light to the world.

Right now the world sees us a separate entities, different faiths, but we worship one God, one Savior, one Holy Spirit.

"I’m a Catholic who has NO USE for the Vatican or the Pope."

I rarely post on these threads, but because you claim to be a Catholic I must address what you have posted. You are free to believe whatever you choose to believe, but by what you have expressed you are certainly not in Communion with the Catholic Church and are therefore some kind of hyphenated Catholic at best.

The Synoptic Gospels give an account of a conversation Jesus had with His Apostles in which he revealed His chosen form of Church governance. Remember that God has always chosen a single man to guide His Church and guided and protected that person through public and private Revelation. This was true of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, Solomon, David and the many judges, kings and prophets that followed.

In this revelation Jesus specifically discussed the three possible forms Democratic form, an Oligarchical form and a Theocratic form before revealing His choice.

In this dialog Jesus asks His Disciples; "Who do the people say that I am?" (Matt 16:16). This was the Democratic option. He got answers varying from Elijah, to John the Baptist, to "One of the Prophets", but no clear, unambiguous or truthful answer. He then asked His Apostles; "Who do you say that I am?". This was the oligarchical form. None responded.

Then Peter stepped forward and without consulting the others said; "You are the Christ, the son of the living God.". In response to this Jesus revealed the basis and governance of His Church when He said:

“Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” (Matt 16:17-19)

I see my mistake:

Catholics and Muslims do not worship the same God. However, they worship the same God as Protestants.

The use of the word they is ambiguous. Could refer to Catholics or Muslims. I was assuming you meant Muslims.

Did you mean Catholics? Then I agree with you.

Ok I though you were a Catholic saying Protestants were on the same level as Muslims. My error

The truth is, it doesn’t matter. The Pharisees worshiped the same God and Jesus said they were going to Hell. If Muslims worship the same God but reject his Word and his commands, they will still spend eternity with the Pharisees.

I'm sure the Vatican already knows this and I am content that at least you can't claim ignorance anymore on this issue.

Peace and Blessings.

I don’t need anyone on this Earth telling me how to be a Catholic. And I certainly have no use for a Vatican and a pope who makes nice with anti-Christian and anti-Semitic Saracen barbarians. The only pope whom I respected, even loved was John Paul 2.

"I don’t need anyone on this Earth telling me how to be a Catholic."

Actually you do. When you protest and reject the dogmas and teaching authority of the Magisterium and the legitimacy of the Apostolic succession of the pope you reject the Church. You are free to hold those beliefs, just not to also claim that you are a Catholic. You are in effect a Protestant.

"And I certainly have no use for a Vatican and a pope who makes nice with anti-Christian and anti-Semitic Saracen barbarians. The only pope whom I respected, even loved was John Paul 2."

"Christians and Muslims, we have many things in common, as believers and as human beings. We live in the same world, marked by many signs of hope, but also by multiple signs of anguish. For us, Abraham is a very model of faith in God, of submission to his will and of confidence in his goodness. We believe in the same God, the one God, the living God, the God who created the world and brings his creatures to their perfection."

- JPII address to young Muslims in Casablanca on 19 August 1985, during the pope's apostolic journey to Morocco

I loved JP2 for his bringing down communism. I wasn’t pleased when he spoke to Saracens. My God tells me to resist Satan and all his works and all his false promises and Mohammed was Satan incarnate. I was baptised a catholic so don’t dare call me a Protestant. Again, I don’t need anyone to tell me how to be a catholic, least of all you.

A great difference is that Jesus is a Jew, and king of the Jew, who came fulfillment of the Law of Moses. If we take as true that Ishmael is the father of the Arabs, Abraham was the father of many other nations, but Jesus belongs to the nation of Israel, through the root of Judah. and a descendent of David, king of the Jews and then all Israel. There is a history, but the line of Ishmael cannot be traced. If Mohammed believes in the God of Abraham, he believes in the God of the Jews. But he may, in fact, believe in the chief God of the Pantheon of Mecca, whom after the Hegira, he identifies with the God of Abraham.

Simple fact: if you are not in union with Rome, you are not a Catholic, or if you like, a Roman Catholic. You are a schismatic.

I’m in union with The Holy Trinity and you or no one else on this Earth can judge me. Only God in Heaven can do that.
