“why is additional Jewish commentary required?”

Sorry, that’s a lame question. You may as well ask why is ANY commentary needed? (TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE!!!)

Show me a preacher, who never studies commentaries on the Bible, and I’ll show you a really ignorant preacher.

Ignorance of the Jewish context of the New Testament is, and has been, an ongoing problem with Christians. This book sounds like it could be a very helpful resource.

Why would anyone use a bible commentary written by unregenerate people?

Pretty non-sensical statement, don't you think?

Why would God have the Jews take gold from their evil slave-master Egyptians during the Exodus?

(BECAUSE IT WAS GOOD GOLD!!!)

Same principle applies to education and knowledge. Do you ONLY go to Christian doctors...or Christian hospitals? Did you or your loved ones ONLY get taught by Christian teachers at Christian schools and Christian colleges? Only buy things from Christian stores (otherwise if you bought stuff from unregenerate people, it would be useless, right?)?

Many great discoveries in archaeology...and even biblical commentary....were done by non-Christians. Would you take what they said with a grain of salt (since after all, they don't believe in Jesus...) of course--but, their insights may well be outstanding about the cultural context of the New Testament.

Shouldn't you ALWAYS read critically....even of Christian scholars?

Again, plundering the gold-of-Egypt principle... Pagans CAN give you good things, even good knowledge, as all truth is God's truth. One just needs to read and study commentators as an adult...that is critically, and not believe everything you read.

Dr. Luke may well of been Jewish too, nobody really knows. Being a scholar of 1st Century Palestine, he certainly knew more about 1st Century Jewish practices and customs than any Gentile alive today...

Yes to the former, never to the latter. There is nothing a non-Christian can tell us about scripture. About history and culture, yes, but not about scripture. It is spiritually discerned. To think otherwise is "non-sensical".

Saving faith is surely only discerned from Scripture by the power of the Holy Spirit. However solid facts about language, grammar, genre, poetry, history, and other elements of of the Bible?

I wonder which bible verse you can cite that says that God can never teach us anything about His Word the bible, EXCEPT through regenerate Christians?

To limit God in ways He doesn't limit Himself is the definition of nonsense. And a prescription for ignorance.
