Speaking with Al Jazeera, the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue lamented mutual ignorance between Christians and Muslims.
“We succeeded in avoiding the clash of civilizations; let us avoid a clash of ignorance,” said Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran. In Europe, he stated, “there is a fear of Islam, but it is due to ignorance.”
“If you speak to right-wing groups, you realize that they have never opened a Qur’an and never met a Muslim.,” he continued. “There needs to be a big effort to educate, to inform them … because most of the problems are coming from misinterpretation or ignorance.”
Cardinal Tauran also criticized the attitudes of some Muslims towards Christians.

I am posting this comment from an ignorant position and would like some clarification if possible. One of the reasons I am asking is, I belong to a rather large fraternity of men who support and maintain a very important and loving activity for children. The Quaran is part of the ceremony along with the Bible and Torah. My question is, in your interpretation of the Quaran and also the same applies to other interpretations that I have seen, all the words are translated to English except Allah. Isn’t that a reference to God?? Or is it only their God who is Muslim only? I appreciated your posting and brings my thoughts to mind.

If not why not? (There are only a few options, such as - they were not supernatural, or they were supernatural, but not from God, or his angels and saints.)
