Our Father of Grace,

'It is Good to Say, "Thank You" to the Lord, to Sing Praises to the God Who is Above All gods. Every Morning Tell Him, "Thank You for Your Kindness," and Every Evening Rejoice in All His Faithfulness. Sing His Praises, Accompanied by Music from the Harp and Lute and Lyre. You have Done So Much for me, O Lord. No Wonder I am Glad! I Sing for Joy.' (Ps.92:1-4)

Your Excellency, our Thanksgiving Arises to You for our Valiant Troops. How Kind You are, and how Good, our King, to have Granted these Wonderful Gifts to us! May Every Man be Gathered, Lord, Beneath the Shadow of Jehovah's Wings. There, they will be Blessed, Protected, and Kept Safe. 'He is my Shelter. There is Nothing but Goodness in Him!' (Ps.92:15)

Our Father, we Lift to You 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna, Asking for Thine Intervention, O God. May Justice be Done, May Wrongs be Corrected, and Michael be Granted a New Trial. Please Move by Thy Providence, our Abba, to Set this Courageous Man Free. Please Strengthen him, Lord, and Fill him with Your Spirit's Peace. May the Injustices that were Done to him be Reversed by Your Powerful Hand. 'The Lord is the God of Justice. Blessed are All who Wait for Him.' (Is.30:18)

We Pray, Excellent Majesty of Heaven, for Your Dear Lambs throughout the Earth. May our Persecuted Brethren be Protected by Your Tender Care. 'O Sovereign LORD, Deal Well with me for Your Name's Sake; out of the Goodness of your Love, Deliver me.' (Ps.109:21)

We Love You, Your Highness, and Thank You for Hearing our Prayers. Thank You for the Wondrous Salvation You have Granted to us Jesus Christ. 'He Provided Redemption for His People; He Ordained His Covenant Forever; Holy and Awesome is His Name.' (Ps.111:9) Thank You, our Loving and Merciful God! In Jesus' Name, for the Glory of Heaven's King, amen.

Today is National Medal Of Honor Day.

This holiday is dedicated to recipients of the Medal of Honor, which is the nation’s highest military commendation and distinguishes the efforts of an individual during war.

There are 82 living recipients today.

Sharing Space

March 25, 2012

The number of people who run a business out of their homes is in the millions. But some have found that working alone can be a little too lonely. To give these lonely ones a community, “co-working” spaces have been designed. Large facilities are rented out where people working by themselves can share space with others. They have their own work area but can exchange ideas with fellow independent workers. It’s for those who feel they can work better together than they do alone.

Sometimes Christians think they work better alone. But we are meant to work together with others in the church. Every Christian has been placed into “the body of Christ” (1 Cor. 12:27). And the Lord desires that we take part in fellowship with a local community of believers—using our spiritual gifts and working together in His service.

Yet for various reasons, some aren’t able to join in. Because of health issues, they may be shut in at home or may not know how to fit in at church. Yet they are a needed part of the body (vv.22-25). That’s when others can meet their need for togetherness. Let’s do our part so that others may feel they’re an integral part of the community of faith. We work better together than alone.

Thinking It Over
What can you do to help others feel a part of your church
community? Visit, pray with them, read Scripture together,
drop a note, or invite them to join you in serving others.
Fellowship builds us up and binds us together.
