The problem with this is that the meddling busybodies will use government to force those who do NOT recognize such unions as legitimate, to do so.
If you’re an insurance company, you will be forced to insure behaviors with known health issues without being allowed to charge more for such policyholders.
If you are a church or parochial school, you will be forced to refrain from teaching that such behaviors are sin.
If you own an apartment building, you will be forced to rent to such couples or groups even if it offends you or the rest of your tenants.
Allowing such “marriages” does NOT create a freer society. On the contrary, it limits even more of your freedoms. The freedom of association. The freedom to hire and fire, buy or sell, based on your character judgements.
And, of course, your freedom of speech will be greatly compromised. If you see a couple or group expressing sexual intimacy in public, and you express any displeasure with it, you will be cited as a criminal.
