I read that it causes the more ‘primitive’ part of the brain to light up, which in many people requires a corrosponding drop in more civilized cognitive areas, or something like that. I’ll see if I can find one of the articles.

And it would explain why sex offenders re-offend. Maybe once the brain gets wired that way, it can’t be undone.
The primitive part of the brain is very powerful too and it can overide other parts at times. But if you are feeding it constantly, it must become warped.
I knew a guy-someone I used to work with-who lost his wife, then his job, then his house all because he spent hours and hours watching porn, buying movies etc.He would stay up all night watching the stuff and that was before the internet. And his wife was a nice woman, he had a great job, but the porn won.
Can’t imagine what he’s like now with internet access...scary.
