We lost a son in a car wreck that is hell too, but we always knew where he was. Losing one and not knowing whether they were dead or alive is a special kind of hell. Don’t feel guilty about your missing pet, it’s OK to grieve for him and hopefully one day he will show up.

“All those lives and events that took place there... just history! Very cool!”

Yeah, like the family massacred by Indians.
The woman who tripped on her long hem and fell down the steps and broke her neck.
Two suicides on the ridge beside me.
Loads of other people dying in here.

Real cool.

[eeeeek!]

;D

I should call the Ghost Hunter guys.

Bet they’d have a blast.

>Yay for Larry!!!<

He is being such a patient soul. The 2 little girl turkeys are up on the roost with him. He has positioned himself closest to the door, protecting them. I couldn’t even see them without a bit of effort.

What a good boy!

A lot of houses in our neighborhood has the same items found. I am guessing there was a lot of heroin those days. Beer cans/alcohol bottles were common as well but I sort of get that.

Few people ever get to live in a house full of so much history... in this case, it is family history. You do the best you can with what you have and can afford. It may never be sparkly new but sparkly new wouldn’t look right anyways. IMHO... I am sure there are days you would disagree with me. LOL

Awwwww!
How gallant!

You should rename him Sir Larry.

Now I want Guineas again!

Great little tick hunters.

Back when they built the McMansions behind the strip mall, I’d look at them and think “My. How sterile.”

They had no personality whatsoever.

Years later, they still don’t.

It’s hard to explain.

They just look as if they have no soul.

Well, now that I’ve mentioned ticks, I feel creepy-crawly and am going to go take a shower.

[I ~really~ hate ticks]

It happened in 1984 we have moved on, thankfully. We mostly have good thoughts of him and not so many about losing him. I will see him again someday.

I keep coming back to check, too....so I put "alice" in the keywords. Works like a charm! :)

I have a friend that I’ve known for many years. We went to high school together, had various business dealings over the years and finally about six or seven years ago we ended up working together.

I have two sons, one of whom is chronically ill and the other who thinks he’s bulletproof. My friend had two sons also, roughly the same age.

His older boy was killed in a car wreck. He was the passenger. Bob took a good deal of time off of work and then returned. I had not been able to make the funeral, but had sent a card and per the family’s request had made a small charitable donation in the son’s name.

I was closing up a few nights after Bob had returned and looked up to see him standing there. I had no idea what to say. He knew that and said “Don’t even worry about words right now” and he bear hugged me and we both wept like babies.

Finally I said “You are living out my worst nightmare.” With that he was able to summon up a few words.

I came away from that moment with a new and deeper understanding of just what loss means. I sincerely pray for you right now, that The Father in His mercy, and for Jesus sake and in His name brings some sort of comfort to you.

I live in the certain knowledge of eternity. I believe with all my heart that The Father wants to lose none of us, and that He will give each in his own way the chance to repent and join with Him.

I pray peace of mind and healing for you, In Jesus name.

Check your FR mail in a few minutes.......

If the psychic is right and Alice shows up, I’m going to thank GOD, not the psychic so the devil won’t gain diddly squat from me.

If I were in your place, I would renounce having any thing to do with a psychic, and ask The LORD to forgive me for listening to one. Then you would be open to His favor. Please do not inadvertently ask a person who is consulting with a devil for hidden knowledge, and then if it comes to pass give God the glory. God does not want glory or thanks due to a devils leading.

I use to be involved in the occult and because of opening myself to such things as going to a psychic and many other occult practices, I became able to hear and follow demons who portrayed themselves as guiding lights and said many things. I can attest to you that is what being a psychic is all about. I knew many psychics and most loved to talk about Jesus, but after I became a Christian and led by God's Spirit, I realized that the Jesus that they talked about was not the real Jesus, but a syrupy version of Jesus after their own imaginations and likings. It was a big lesson for me to learn that the occult practices I had been practicing and partaking in were not pleasing to God. I had to choose who I would follow. I could not follow the practices of Satan and of God at the same time, and think that I would be pleasing to God. I had to let go of all occult practices and choose to follow, seek, and trust, God, and God alone.

This whole thing with your pet snake may be to help you learn that you cannot take council from those who are not walking in the true light of God and then thank God if something from that false light comes to past. You want your pet snake back, but surely it is more important to know that you are following and pleasing God than even getting your beloved pet back. I hope and pray that you will renounce occult practices such as going to a medium and turn to The Living God as your help. Then if He brings your snake back you will know that it was by His hands, and you will be able to thank Him with all of your heart because you have been pleasing to Him. Also, for your pets sake, I would close the door to the destroyer. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus comes to bring us life abundantly.

Act 16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew [them] into the marketplace unto the rulers,

I haven’t read every single post but have you thought of renting a thermal scanner? Anything alive would show up. We had thermal scans done of our home and it was amazing what showed up.

This morning Mr Darnright went up to see how the new youngsters were doing. Larry was in the back of the pen (in his usual spot) and the 2 turkeys were in the middle. When Mr D opened the door, the turkeys made a mad dash for Larry.

They hid behind their new “dad” until the big scary man finished replenishing their food and water.

Yes it is. I watched my parents go through that hell, thankfully for “only” three days, with the loss of my oldest sister.

Bless you and your family Ditter. No one who has not experienced such a thing can truly understand. My mother never recovered. You’ve got my respect, FRiend, with your faith in God and with your strength.
