I never understood why a diocesan office would hire a nun while Catholic schools are complaining that the lack of nuns is forcing them to close.
What kind of vocation is it to go to an office every day to agitate for the left?
Apparently not much of one; that is why the orders are dying out. Those that still attract members aren’t protesting nuclear power.

Like many of the original women’s lib fanatics, many nuns, if they didn’t leave the life, ran like hell out of the classroom and away from the kids and traditional women’s jobs. Her boss was one of these. She’a about Steinem’s age and hasn’t been in front of kids for 35 years. But she revels in her hard assed reputation. A few weeks after my daughter got the job, our former pastor met her in the Chancery. His words? “Good Luck. You’ll need it.”
The number of Catholics I know that see nuns as a female counterpart to a priest (as opposed to brothers) amazes me; they’ve destroyed orthodox Catholicism by simply not teaching it.
