A lot of people join popular churches for networking reasons.

I have NEVER heard of or have seen anyone faint in church due to the speaker.

Many years ago I learned that joining the biggest, most influential church in town was important if you wished to open a store in that town.True. You want to be successful, you go where the town's big wigs are. It has nothing to do with religion. It has everything to do with appearance.

Not sure what kind of 'Christianity' Black Liberation Theolgy is for that matter. It's a radical Black supremacist political movement hiding under the trappings of a church, not really any different that the radical White supremacist "Christian Identity" "churches." Simply two sides of the same radical, racist coin.
Both should be sued by the FTC for "false advertising," as neither conform to any definition of "Christian."

So did revival meetings during both of the American "Great Awakenings". Jonathan Edwards wrote of it extensively and ultimately rejected it as emotionalism and not in the least indicative of regeneration.

I believe the topic was BAPTIST churches.
I will take a Mormon over a Communist/Marxist/Socialist any day period.
