Because it was King David, who with his sword that once belonged to Israel’s worst enemy, thereafter called the Sword of David, chose Jerusalem as his Capital and the seat of Hebrew Culture. He made Jerusalem the Holy City when he brought the Ark of the Covenant to rest there.
If you know anything about the War Scrolls, the main premise was to carry the Lord’s Word in one hand and a sword in the other. Peace if there could BE peace and Righteous War if no other way could be found.
Netanyahu was speaking of the much larger role of David as a great general and defender of Israel, not just the battle with Goliath.

Agreed. According to Zechariah 14, the Israelis are going to some day be running for their lives, and the Messiah will rescue them at the last second.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. However, “we have this hope, that burns within our hearts. Hope in the coming of the Lord” and on that day the Lord will wipe all our tears away. This is promised in both the Old Testament, Isaiah 25:8 and in the New, Revelations 21:4

And death will be swallowed up in victory. Friends and loved ones will never be separated again and the Lord YHWH will dwell among us.

Comforting promises from Him who is unable to err.
There are very few things God can’t do. Lie in His promises or go back on His Word is one of them.

He will not force our free will either, and He is unable to sin or harbor darkness in Him.

This we are assured

Interesting. Merits further study for sure.

Most definitely not. However, the sword statement has specific intention to call out those “heads” of terrorist, neo-anti semites being harbored in that region. The scripture I referenced, towards the end of chapter 47 in Jeremiah, is specifically addressing that strip of land by the sea, where God is stating He will not put away His sword until He makes a full end of Israel’s enemies in Gaza.
