The Vatican on Gaza: Israel is a Baby-Killer”
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/162368#.UK1RQ4arqSo ^ | 11/21/2012 | Giulio Meotti

Posted on 11/21/2012 2:34:48 PM PST by Lera

Not a word was heard from the Vatican all the years Sderot babies were in mortal danger. They began noticing the violence last week.

Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President of the Vatican Council for Culture, commenting on the war between Israel and Hamas, delivered a severe attack on the Jewish people: “I think of the ‘massacre of the innocents’. Children are dying in Gaza, their mothers’ shouts is a perennial cry, a universal cry”.

The Catholic Church high official equated Israel’s operation in Gaza against terror groups with the New Testament story of Herod’s slaughter of Jewish babies in his effort to kill Jesus.

Waiting to see who makes excuse for these liars.

Herod was put in authority by Rome . He was a murder and he was also an Edomite just like the phony Palestinian rocket launching murders trying to kill Israeli babies right now.

I guess these people believe if they keep repeating the sames lies that people will believe them .
What they are actually doing is PROVING that they are nothing but instigators that side with everything that is wrong and align themselves against God himself.

There is just no excuse for this

The vicar-general of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, William Shomali, said on Vatican Radio that “what is happening in Gaza now is a vicious circle of violence”.

Hmmmm, I’m thinking that I have heard this before.

The Vatican is insane.

The Hamas charter promotes the eradication of Israel and the systematic extermination of the Jews.

This puts the Vatican in the same camp as the Nazis.

I’ll have NOTHING to do with them unless and until they recant this idiotic pandering to the Left.

Oh, for Pete’s sake! I’m a Catholic. I think these Vatican officials and Bishops have their heads in the sand.
Here in America, unborn babies are being killed every day, priests give out the Body of Christ to evil politicians, Leahy, Biden, Pelosi, McCaskill, and all of the rest of these evil supposed Catholics. The devil is deep at work in these evil ones.

Father Mitch Pacqua after the 9/11 killing by the Butcher of Benghazi (the bama) declared on EWTN that the muslims were upset over a video. I couldn’t believe my ears. How Naive of him. I do hope he corrected himself.

One cardinal speaking on behalf of the Catholic Church is like Jesse Jackson Jr. speaking on behalf of the Obama administration. Small cog in a big wheel. He is allowed his opinion but only the Magisterum speaks for the Church.

Commentary ended its relationship with Giulio Meotti the same month that these acts of plagiarism occurred, with the exception of a single article that appeared on our website in February. Given the huge number of homosexuals in the Catholic Church, and given the Muslim propensity for homosexuality (or bestiality), that Church officials support Muslims should surprise few.

This isn’t “the Vatican” speaking, nor the Pope. It is the “President of the Vatican Council for Culture,” which must be some sort of politically correct side office. I confess I never heard of it before.

It’s sad that a jerk like this has made it all the way up the ladder to the rank of cardinal. But he does not speak for the Church. It’s his personal opinion. And he’s evidently a a bigoted, left-wing jerk.

Lotsa folks can hear a lot of misery coming from Israel, with rockets raining down on... get this... civilians.

Seems the jihadists aren’t really aiming at anything military, ever.

Hmmm... and the abomination commonly referred to as mainstream news media keeps running stories painting the jihadis as the “good guys” and Israel as the “bad guys”.

Anyone who works for the mainstream media has got to feel like they’re working for Goebbels himself - I don’t know how they can live with themselves.

The only problem is that this never happened! Cardinal Ravisi never said it.

What you have done is to quote a militantly anti-Catholic article misquoting the Cardinal's introduction to Pope Benedict's third volume on Jesus of Nazareth. In his remarks the Cardinal mentioned a cycle of violence in the middle east dating back thousands of years and cited Herrod's killing of the innocent among several examples. Apparently, mentioning the killing of the innocents, which the militantly ultra orthodox deny happened, is code for rationalizing the Holocaust.

Shame on you and on those who wanted so desperately to believe this. I suggest you do a little honest journalism for yourself and research the alleged remarks before parroting any slander that serves your prejudices.

I read somewhere that the previous pope was a Polish chemical salesman who sold Zyklon gas to the Nazis. Zyklon was used for the gas chambers at Auschwitz.

I don’t know if this is true.

Also give Israel CREDIT that it has gone outs of its way to PROTECT the Christian as well Jewish shrines in the Holy Land.

Social Justice is rampant in the Catholic church (the US Bishops were all for Obamacare until the abortion plank was inserted). Anti-Israel sentiment goes along with socialism.

Hey, as shown in the most recent election, this guy has done a great job in the Catholic culture department. Let’s all listen to him! Hey wait a minute! Most Jews voted with the anti-Israel side, even after they saw Obama surround Israel with the Muslim Brotherhood!

public statement the pope made on Sunday.

In a startling pronouncement about Jesus Christ’s revelation of the signs leading up to His return to Earth, Pope Benedict declared that “Jesus does not describe the end of the world, and when He uses apocalyptic images, He does not act as a ‘seer.’ On the contrary, He wishes to ensure that His disciples in every age remain unmoved by dates and predictions.”

This statement is so far removed from reality, it can only represent a deliberate attempt to pervert the truth. It argues against the very reality of biblical revelation itself.

The very power by which Jesus Christ ministered on Earth was clearly revealed as a Spirit which “will show you things to come” (John 16:13).

Jesus Christ Himself gave, in live format, delivered direct to His disciples, the most powerfully detailed prophecy about the future, most especially the end times, that is preserved in the Bible (Matthew 24; Mark 13, Luke 21).

The Word of God declares of the very Godhead, “Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).

The pope’s statement is not just a grave deceit. It goes beyond that. It is plain blasphemy.

But why should we be surprised?
