Rick Warren’s Son Commits Suicide

ick Warren’s son has taken his own life. Matthew Warren, 27, had struggled with mental illness before his death.

Evangelist Greg Laurie posted an e-mail the Saddleback Church pastor sent to this staff: “Only those closest knew that he (Matthew) struggled from birth with mental illness, dark holes of depression, and even suicidal thoughts. In spite of America’s best doctors, meds, counselors, and prayers for healing, the torture of mental illness never subsided. Today, after a fun evening together with Kay and me, in a momentary wave of despair at his home, he took his life.” Click here to read a prayer request Rick Warren e-mailed to his staff.

Prayers and condolences are flooding into Warren’s Facebook page. And Laurie also expressed his heartfelt pain over Warren’s loss.

BG, the posts on this thread are in aknowledgement that Rick Warren has been a false prophet for decades, and led God knows how many to eternal suffering.

Where is his compassion?

Claiming to know another Freeper's intent makes the thread "about" you and him. It is "making it personal" and disrupts the thread for everyone else - and often is the first step to a flame war.

Concentrate on the message, not the messenger.

Did you deliberately pick the least common injury?

Compound fractures happen only to those with severely compromised health, in most cases. Automobile collisions are the rare exception to that.

In general, there is absolutely no reason to go to a doctor, and doing so is almost always the first step in a life shortening journey.

All the commonly cited crises, like apendicitus for example, have an effective logical modality of treatment to use long before any rupture, or other disaster occurs.

God told us in Genesis that we should eat of the herbs of the field. this is not a reference to munching salads for lunch; those herbs heal, and that is why doctors discourage their use.

Yes. In Acts we read

Acts 5:15
They even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mats, in order that Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he came by.

We also read

Acts 19:11-13
God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that when the handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, their diseases left them, and the evil spirits came out of them.

Yeshua's way of healing evidently sometimes uses relics.

I’m “selling” God’s word.

If you wish to buy something else, that is your business.

Everything can be healed.

Missing heart valves are one of the common healings.

There is no evidence in the scriptures that you posted of the use of “relics.”

They’re all about belief, and the power of the Holy Spirit when belief is present.

I rarely get infections, but when I do the solution is obvious: H2O2 is an excellent clenser, releasing pure oxygen for the purpose. Beats life threatening drugs any day!

Honey also works well for skin infections, including MRSA.

These are things God gave us, not man.

“Did you see the Louisville basketball game? Where that young man’s leg broke and the bone was sticking 6 inches out of the skin?”

Medical Doctors do many good things. Case in point...requires special medical attention. Doctors are needed to treat serious trauma. Doctors are not needed to be ‘pill pushers’ for Big Pharma. If MD’s were free to practice medicine instead of having to do everything according to FDA/AMA ‘rules’, we would have excellent health care and much minimized cost.

"They’re all about belief, and the power of the Holy Spirit when belief is present."

Thank you. This is perfectly true.

"There is no evidence in the scriptures that you posted of the use of “relics.”

That's exactly what a piece of cloth touched by a saint is: a third-class relic. That was explicitly described in the second quote from Acts. Naturally, these people were expressing belief in the power of God, as exhibited in these saints, and manifested even in the objects touched by them.

There are many excellent Biblical examples of God working through material objects: Moses' or Aaron's staff, Elijah's mantle, the image of the snake on the pole, etc. It is all 100% dependent on the healing intent of God, Who uses material objects as He wishes.

There are many people healed of bodily diseases and injuries miraculously, by God, through pieces of a saint's bone or hair or clothing. It's not a bit of bone that has "power" as if it were some kind of magic charm. It's God who has power. He alone. Sometimes He does his even in the absence of belief, just to honor His saint or prophet.

Kings 13:21
As a man was being buried, a marauding band was seen and the man was thrown into the grave of Elisha; as soon as the man touched the bones of Elisha, he came to life and stood on his feet.

This passage does not say the man had any particular faith. But God provided a sign to honor the relics of Elisha.

There is also zero evidence that Paul meant anything else by his comment.

Anything else than what? That "Luke the beloved doctor" means what you claim; namely, that Luke was no longer a doctor?

You have to remember that most of Paul’s letters were translated from Hebrew to Greek in the late second century, by people with a Gnostic agenda.

The Apostle to the Gentiles wrote to them in Hebrew?

Why are there ZERO surviving manuscripts of ANY of the N.T. in Hebrew?? On second thought, never mind. Don't tell me. It must have been a conspiracy.

Cordially,

Today, hydrogen peroxide is manufactured almost exclusively by the Riedl-Pfleiderer or anthraquinone process (developed by BASF, the largest chemical company in the world) which was formalized in 1936 and patented in 1939, and involves the autoxidation of a 2-alkyl anthrahydroquinone (or 2-alkyl-9,10-dihydroxyanthracene) to the corresponding 2-alkyl anthraquinone. Major producers commonly use either the 2-ethyl or the 2-amyl derivative.

Common additives and impurities found in H2O2:

Additives

Purpose
Tin (Stannate) Stabilizes product against decomposition caused by heavy metals.
Phosphate Stabilizes product against decomposition caused by chlorine or heavy metals.
Nitrate Acts as an inhibitor against the corrosion of aluminum.

Impurities

Source
Carbon Organic contamination from the “working solution” or anthraquinone.
Aluminum From contact with metallic process equipment and piping.
Chloride From plant water supply.
Sulfate From plant water supply.
Ammonium From plant water supply or degradation of organic amines.

Oh, I read your posts. I also did some research on the book you base your beliefs on. Wright has a serious lack of scriptural understanding and used some passages out of context and has injected meaning into others. I would strenuously suggest avoiding him and his book.

Believe and act on that belief, yes, but there is much to understand and believe, and way too many stop at the first line.

Its when it hits the comfort zone that there is that tendency to pull back.

35% USP food grade H2O2 is readily available.

It is also present in rain water at an effective level.

Bad guess!

There are many MS now available in the original language, and more are being found all the time. As Jewish Rabbis join with the Messianic movement, they reveal what they know, and we benefit. The Shem Tov Matthew is quite an eye opener.

Another thing that you seem to miss is that many of the congregations that Paul wrote to were Hebrew oriented at their beginning primarily because Torah was in Hebrew, and thus it was necessary to read Hebrew to study Torah.

Food grade H2O2 is still produced the same way in factories. All food grade means is that they use less stabilizers in it. It does not mean that it is pure. Typically food grade is used for, among other things, electronics and propulsion. The opposite of food grade is cosmetic grade, that has extra stabilizers.

At 3-5ppm in rainwater, while this might be effective in neutralizing the .1ppm of sulfur dioxide often found in rainwater, and maybe contact killing some microorganisms and fungi, expecting it to do the same in vivo is a huge stretch. But saying so will not change the minds of those who are convinced of its anecdotal clinical efficacy.

H2O2 is prodeced by dissolving o3 in water.

Anybody can do it, an old stick welder and a pair of carbon arc points will do the job.
