Mormon Church to Boy Scouts: Gay Scouts proposal OK
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a message for the Boy Scouts of America's plan to allow gay Scouts: We're fine with it.
The Mormon Church, which has historically opposed same-sex marriage, said Thursday that it supported the Scouts' recently proposed rules change that "No youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone," as the proposal puts it.
The proposed policy change, announced last week, came after years of wrangling, soul-searching and prodding from advocates, alumni and funders to open the Scouts' ranks to gays.

The way the radicals operate their “long march through the institutions” is to coopt an organization identified with conservatism or ate art the establishment and then take it over from within leaving the trappings of tradition. For example, the university will continue aggressively to promote its football team and photographs of ivy-covered Victorian/Edwardian buildings while teaching students vile anti-western-culture ideology.
Look for the Boy Scouts to show up at White House functions and “liberal” Democrat functions, while traditional conservatives leave the movement.
The Boy Scouts are going to have a very high profile now among progressives looking for symbols to give them greater legitimacy, in my opinion.
As I wrote above, the Boy Scouts will not really shrink, as you wrote. They will become the youth movement of the Progressives because they symbolize tradition in the public eye. Turning the organization into a haven for homosexuals is simply a means to the end of driving away the conservatives who would have prevented the left from coopting the organization. It will flourish as never before, but not in the aces or with the people who populate it today. It will be the Young Pioneers.
Best cure withdraw your kids, and stop supporting them, they can’t function with out cash.
When certain churches did this all the conservatives up and left, taking their money with them.

No doubt. They’ll likely (continue to) get “generous” donations from lefty, homo-agenda organizations/corporations and say their fundraising has surpassed all expectations. Heaven help us.

I am a Scoutmaster. Our meeting was last night 5/23. I tended my resignation effective 12/31/2013, or sooner if the Troop Committee sees fit. Several Scouts including my two sons, one 6 months from Eagle and the other about 1 year away from Eagle, also said that they are leaving on that date. Several other Scouts will follow. This is a heart breaking day.
With this policy a Scout must choose between being true to the Scout Oath and Law as they are intended, or remain in Scouting. We choose the Oath and Law.

While I agree that people should withdraw their kids, we shouldn’t fool ourselves into thinking that is a cure. The culture is going into the sewer at a rapidly accelerating rate. If we just withdraw into our own little ghetto, that will only succeed in removing all the brakes of that freight train.
I’m still one to think we should engage the culture and be the light of the world. I don’t think it is time yet to hunker down and wait for the end of the world.
That time may come soon, but I really don’t think it is here yet.
Catholics voted for Obama, that is wrong.
Romney did not force Catholics to vote FOR Obama, to try to claim that pro-abortion/pro-gay liberals chose to vote FOR Obama because Romney was not conservative enough, hardly makes sense, in fact as the most least conservative GOP candidate in history Romney did better among Catholics, in 2012 than in 2008.
The fact that Catholics are a part of the democrat party and almost always vote pro-abortion/pro-homosexual democrat has nothing to do with Mitt Romney.
Obama won a slimmer majority of Catholics against Romney than he did in 2008.
Clinton and Al Gore and Obama did not need to run against a Mitt Romney.
