It was b Chan. Arguably judges was not aristocratic. The early Israelites were tribal with tribes and clans controlling loosely their people and territories. This could work when Israel began, in the interrum period between the collapse of the middle Egyptian kingdom and the new. The Hittite power had also collapsed and the neo-assyrian power was in its infancy. But around Israel neighboring powers went the way of warlords becoming kings like in aram or Moab. Another Semitic people in he same region (we’ll all of these: arameans, explores, moabites and Israelites were Semites) that felt the urge for centralisation was phoenicia (or as they called themselves, Canaan) but they failed and were crushed by neighboring kingdoms or empires. Israel’s earlier tribal/clan organization could only work in a vacuum of no continuous external threats and a small, nomadic population spread out widely.

I think I see what you are driving at. Ruled by prophets?

Not at all. See post #38.

Personally, I would be loathe to have any of the American Patriotic Catholic Church Ecclesiastical Hierarchy ruling over me.

Trust me, they'd burn people like me (orthodox Conservative Catholics) at the stake far quicker than they'd burn any Protestant. Though I'm sure they'd get to the conservative Protestant followers after they "cleaned their own house."

Ok. I did see #38 previously...which still possibly left the question open, for the statements there could be interpreted in the beginning, from the "got it" to be expression of what you thought another was trying to say.

You do understand how the question posed in #32 [again highlighted];

would have led to consideration of Israel at that time, before the first king was anointed (at the demand of the people) being ruled by Judges (whom were prophetically guided)?

I cannot disagree with the two statements in #34 even as I disagree with guys like Voris whom seem to think if everyone would just be a Roman Catholic, all would be well.

Mormoms express similar proud thoughts...which reminds me; that group [Mormons] at it's worst expression & practice, is like a carnival caricature sketch of Rome's own promoters, when this latter are at their own very worst.

Submission to either groups teachings is not the same as being led by the Lord's Spirit, and being in submission to the Lord.
