Frank the Hippie Pope: A Lutheran Satire Production
YouTube ^ | 10-20-13 | Hans Fiene

Posted on 10/20/2013 8:41:47 PM PDT by Conservaliberty

For those who have never heard of it, Lutheran Satire is a YouTube channel of informative and funny videos by a Lutheran pastor Hans Fiene.

This video is his reaction to Pope Francis' antics. Just remember it is satire--and Fiene has a rather cutting sense of humor.

Oh good grief, Holy Mother Church survived the `Renaissance Popes’ who must have all been of the Medici family, with secret wives, mistresses, children, amassing wealth & instigating wars. Of course, the counter to all that was Martin Luther & before it was all over the Thirty Years War had exterminated most of Germany as millions perished in the debate about the divine nature of the Eucharist.

So a Pontiff who eats in the common refectory, washes the feet of the poor, & shuns many of the trappings of the Papacy, is now the Lenin of the Vatican?

Yes, my memories of the Jesuits who taught was how they argue, argue, argue. But notice how Pope Francis, the liberals’ “third world Pope of the poor” tends to disappoint the Left when his pronouncements fail to overthrow anything in the Roman Canon?

(For those of you in Rio Linda, this is a trick question:) I mean, who elected this guy?

He was pretty skinny at that point. For chubby look to after his marriage to Katherine, who must have been a good cook.

Aren’t most German women good cooks?

Anyway, it’s satire! Like there were cartoons of young George Washington chopping down the cherry tree, only the child had the middle aged Gilbert Stuart face as seen on the dollar bill.

Drawings of Luther depict a young man. Portraits from life show him older & tubbier (just like me!).

;^)

“Good German Cooking” usually means sausuage or runzas.

Hmmm...I was thinking schnitzels, spaetzele, sauerbraten, red cabbage, & potatoes done many ways.

Several kinds of sausage make a great Grillteller.

Good question smvoice. The things we are hearing from this pope is NOT the same thing as what was happening with the Medici popes and all of the other bad popes. As bad and as sinful the bad popes were they didn’t say things that were contrary to the Catholic Faith. They weren’t Modernists.

if you've never seen it before, LutheranSatire has a hilarious and educational episode on (badly) explaining the Trinity: St. Patrick's Bad Analogies:
"And who confesses 'partialism'?"
"The first season of the cartoon program Voltron, where five robot lion cars merge together to form one giant robot samurai - obviously!"
"I've never heard of 'Voltron'."
"Of course you haven't! It's not going to exist for another 1,500 years now, Patrick!"
And my favorite:
"That's modalism, Patrick!"
