Reverend Bob Larson performing exorcisms via Skype from Scottsdale
ABC 15 ^ | 1/25/2014

The practice of exorcism isn’t anything new. It’s been around for thousands of years.

But thanks to the age of technology a Scottsdale reverend says he is getting a chance to help people possessed by demons, all over the world.

You may not believe in the practice but it is still prevalent among many religions, including Rev. Bob Larson’s evangelical Christianity.

“In simple terms, an exorcism is the process of expelling an evil spirit from an individual who has become somehow invaded and demonized by that being, and sending it back to hell and freeing the person,” Larson said.

In the age of electronics, exorcisms are done over Skype.

So what does Larson say to those people who see these dramatic exchanges as nothing more than a disturbing night club act?

“It’s real,” Larson says. “There would be no reason to theatrically stage this for any reason. Why would anybody do that? I have no idea.”

Larson says he’s done more than 20,000 exorcisms. He’s sure there’ll never be any shortage of the devil’s demons.

Jesus was an exorcist

Jesus was known not only as a healer, but also as an exorcist; these two categories overlap to some extent because often demon possession ...

I wonder if this is more like Dr. William Baldwin’s soul rescue rather then a the type of exorcism as practiced by the Catholic Church?

Yeah, if he can’t think of a reason, then he is ill-prepared to distinguish a real possession from a false one, and shouldn’t be doing exorcisms in the first place.

The latter, I suspect. Larson doesn’t have a very good reputation. He’s been on George Noory at least once, came across as a huckster to me. He was trying to get an exorcism “reality show” on the air. I can think of few things more irresponsible.

I watched the film... this is why Jesus made the statement.... You cast out demons in my name, but yet I do not know you.

This is not how Bill Baldwin did it. He was much more professional and his motive was much purer.

The guy in this film is all about himself and being in control. That’s not how it works. Your strength comes from your weakness.

This is not something that you want to do in public and only do if you must. This guy needs to be center stage... can you see any pride in the way this guy presents himself?

Jesus was an exorcist... Yes, and so were His disciples...

Jesus did it out of Love and only to give credibility to His Father’s message. Not to promote Himself.

Bob runs an International School of Exorcism

Want a laugh... https://www.boblarson.org/religious-about-us/religious-school-exorcism

http://www.trueexorcist.com/2012/01/bob-larson-fooled-by-actor.html
Bob Larson Fooled By Actor
From this site:
McExorcist couldn’t distinguish between an actual possession and someone acting out. The Paranormal Preacher D.G. Motal has a series of audios on Bob Larson’s inability to discern ( The three part “ Interview With the Victim of a Vampire”, the “ Bob Larson Vs. Spiderman” and the three parter “ Emily Rose” where the woman openly said she faked being possessed on a “ The Real Exorcist” TV episode.) plus one Inside Edition piece where a guy was “ forced” by Larson to hand over his Bible to McExorcist.

Some years ago he was caught doing repeat exorcisms on the same woman in different appearances, His excuse was to refer to it as “ progressive deliverance”.

I should add that Larson’s form of “exorcism” is a Protestant branch called Deliverance Ministry, which ( as I understand it) stated around 1973 with the book “ Pigs in the Parlor” and it grew with the deluded fraud “ Dr. Rebecca Brown’s’ two evangelical books about demons being all around us. Larson when he started the “real exorcist” scam used to claim that the “Vatican exorcist” gave his seal of approval, so to speak, for Larson’s “exorcism” methods. My opinion is that Larson mislead the priest and used the reference to con Catholics who think they have demons or have curses but haven’t convinced their priests,so they turn to Larson.

As for his claim of being a “certified” exorcist, some of that is his usual posturing but he has added to his scam of claiming he can “ certify” exorcists in his “ School” and “ Spiritual Freedom Church” ( an oxymoron, BTW). Just like his mail order ministerial degree where he can call himself “reverend” while still being a party college drop-out, his so-called certification is more along the lines of selling the Brookyn Bridge than any actual accreditation.

AFAIK, the only time Larson ever actually devotes significant time to a person is when he’s being paid $495 per hour or a “personal encounter” or when the media cameras are rolling, as in the cases of Necorbutcher and Jon Safran. For those who can’t afford his fee, his DWJD teams try to sell his merchandise to them rather than actually minister to them gratis. I’ve had a few people tell me this, some I am sworn to confidentiality as to their identities.

In essence he spends time to exploit, not to actually minister, and leaves the damage for others to deal with.

Per the above website:

Larson NEVER made himself look like a “Priest” but it is now part of his marketing SCAM. I have done business with him, and he is a LIAR. He married his “trophy wife” who was his secretary when the “Christain Bob” was married to his first wife. Ooops...Bob would be upset if the world knew this

Bob Larson Exposed On Anderson Cooper
http://www.trueexorcist.com/2012/02/bob-larson-exposed-on-anderson-cooper.html

“I found this statement particularly in poor taste. Larson speaking of Anderson Cooper taking the hilariously silly “demon test” for 9.95 on Larson’s website and scoring high for possible demonic possession (according to Larson’s silly test), says “Cooper admitted that he scored high on the test! Interesting. Cooper’s brother committed suicide right in front of him by jumping to his death from a tall building.” “

I am sending Bob Larson prayers. If he is real, he will use them in his work. If he is not, they will be like hot coals placed upon his head!

Larson is doing a 13+ city tour, one of which is in my area. I might just go to observe. Raleigh NC April 4th.

My specialty research area is mind control and hypnosis techniques utilized in religious services. I have visited many church services just to observe people like Bob.

No, Dr. Baldwin rescued lost souls and sent them to the Light. Rev. Larson and Roman Catholic exorcism send evil spirits to hell.

Here is a funny story from 2012

LIFETIME CHANNEL CANCELS THE REAL EXORCIST

There is a video of Rev. Bob casting out a demon from a gay man. It was weird (as all exorcisms are) but did this imply that the demons were accountable for the ‘gay’? That wasn’t clear.

So tonight was the premier of Rev. Bob’s show. Now, we don’t think too highly of Rev. Bob and his band of teenage exorcists. So, I was not unhappy to hear the news by Rev. Bob himself that…

I’m still in a state of shock. Word of the cancelation reached me less than 30 hours before the show was to premiere. My agent was taken by surprise. The production company that filmed the show was stunned. We still don’t have all the answers, but here’s what we do know.

You’ve read my emails saying that for over a week our offices have been bombarded by incredibly obscene calls from homosexual activists. Someone from the gay community found a 14-year-old video of me casting a demon out of a man who mentioned being affected by homosexual desires. Though it wasn’t a “gay exorcism” as the activists proclaimed (the demon cast out was Anger), the facts were overlooked.
