Did Jesus ever get angry with His Father?
It is OKAY to get angry at God, He has big shoulders.
I’m not Jesus. Are you?
Pope Francis also said, God had repented of the evil He had threatened.
>>Highlighting how the Lord repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to His people thanks to Moses intercession, Pope Francis asked the question But who changed here? <<

Now, Biggirl, please tell me who Almighty God repented to. Did He repent to Moses? If so, should He also not repent to others?
Plus if you cannot express your emotions, it demishes the Lord’s Prayer.
What a lovely commentary. Bless you.
I still pray the Lord’s Prayer if you were wondering.
I think some people are missing the point on this.
God said in Isaiah “Come, Let us reason together” and Paul states we should “come boldly before the Throne of Grace”. Yes, Moses and Abraham both challenged God in the right way to hold him to his nature, his word. I believe God wants that - He wants us to have total reliance on Him, to believe that we can take him at his word. This in no way should be taken that we are a. equal with God, or b. that we are more high and mighty than we actually are.
Just as Jacob wrestled with the Angel, I believe God wants us to be sincere in our grievances, anger, confusion, ALL emotions and reasonings. He KNOWS we’re limited in our understanding - that’s why He’d rather us be direct and ask him than to NOT ask him but walk around haughty and proud and ‘in no need’ of him.
Remember how Jonah was angry at God because he knew that God would have mercy on Ninevah? God didn’t say ‘How DARE you be angry with ME!’ - no, he instructed Jonah as a Father would his ignorant child.
Thank-you and God Bless for your sharing.
There is absolutely no reason to get angry with God. He created us out of dust. I don’t know why so many people think they have a right to get angry with God. Pesonally, I think it’s a sin of pride to do so.
Baltimore Catechism:
6. Q. Why did God make you?
A. God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in heaven.
No it is not a sin to be angry wiht God. It is an emotion neither good nor bad.
The sin of pride means I can do things without the help of God.
Sure I do but I also know to divide the word of truth...
What is the 'Our Father' prayer??? It's a prayer about the coming Kingdom; 'thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven'...
When it comes to personal prayer;
Jas 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
We are told that we resort to all kinds of things to get what we want when all we have to do is ask God...But there is a catch...
Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
That's pretty clear to anyone who takes the time to read it...
And of course there are things where the end result is fixed and prayer won't alter the course...Sometimes God says 'no'...
When a person is going through hurt or heartache and gets angry at God, let the person be. God has big shoulders enough to handle the difficulty.
God doesn’t need challenges. Look what Lucifer’s challenge got him. Look what Lot’s wife got herself.
Not in the least...
But post number 48 is correct.
That's a very good point...The pope says to argue with God but try to argue with a bishop or a pope, eh???
I’ll repeat my question. Did Jesus Christ, the Son of God, ever get angry with God, the Father? If, He, Who was Crucified for us, didn’t get angry, what makes you think we can?
Supplication
δέησις
deēsis
deh'-ay-sis
From G1189; a petition: - prayer, request, supplication.
Are you two familiar with the story of Job?
Who’s more Christ-like, Job or Jonah?
