Bill Donohue comments on how the pope’s trip to the Middle East ended:
Pope Francis spent three historic days in the Middle East trying to bring Christians, Jews, and Muslims together, and on the plane ride home he fielded 11 questions on nine issues. Two dealt with his trip: there was one question on Jewish-Muslim relations, and one on the status of Jerusalem. But there were three on sexual issues: priestly sexual abuse, celibacy, and divorced and remarried Catholics.
It’s actually worse than this. On the “Today Show” this morning, only two issues were discussed: sexual abuse and celibacy. In Nicole Winfield’s AP story last night, about half the article was on sexual abuse; in today’s version, this was the only issue covered. Almost all of CNN’s coverage was on sexual abuse. John Allen of the Boston Globe covered many topics, but most of his reporting was on sexual abuse. The Boston Herald showed no interest in anything but sexual abuse.
In England, the Guardian only discussed sexual abuse and celibacy. Almost all the coverage by the BBC was on sexual abuse. This subject dominated the coverage in the Daily Mail.
There is no mystery here. The big media lean left, and what interests them is pressuring the Catholic Church to change its teachings on sexuality. Their obsession with priestly sexual abuse, which as a problem is mostly a non-starter these days, is a function of their desire to discredit the Church’s moral authority.
It’s too bad the pope didn’t take the time to ask these reporters to explain their disinterest in his critically important trip. He might then ask them to explain their obsession with matters sexual. Unless they are called out on this issue, the media circus will never end.
I wish the MSM had spent more time on the Pope’s impassioned defense of the thousands of Christian martyrs being persecuted all over the middle east by islamic barbarians. I wish they would have told how he decried how the most ancient Christian populations on the globe in Bethlehem, Iraq and Syria are being exterminated by muslim monsters and how he called for an immediate end to beheadings, crucifixions and the rape and selling into sexual bondage of Christian girls all over the muslim world. But they completely ignored it. It’s almost as if the Pope spent his time extolling the virtues of islam and calling the blodd thirsty beasts his brothers and sisters.

No, sorry... until the Church gets complete and perfect control over it’s clergy (ALL of them) no one I know is in the slightest interested in what it has to say on any other subject. Go a few decades with no reports of abuse then get back to me.
Same goes for pastors, preachers and politicians: get your own act together first, *then* tell others what they should do with their life. I’ve no interest in someone with a beam sticking out of their eye, be they Jewish, Muslim, Christian or atheist, telling me how to deal with the mote in mine; I don’t care in the slightest the title or position of anyone, from POTUS to street corner preacher- get your own life togetherbefore you offer any advice you expect me to do anything other than laugh at; I *know* what I’ve got to work on in my life and I don’t care what anyone else has going on in theirs unless and until they ask me for help.

BS. Only the liberal media is obsessed about sex. But they don’t want to talk about homosexual clergy, which is what it’s all about. And the sex crazed media, 99% of them never go in the front door of a church.
Sex sells. “Sex crazed Media” is a redunancy. I know of no one outside of FR and townhall with who cares in the least the gender of the victim; people who confuse homosexuality with pedephilia only discredit themselves and the efforts of people trying to protect kids.
Is this what is known as “nudging”, when the media excludes coverage of any human activity that is unrelated to their AGENDA, promoting sexual depravity and exclusively anti Christian themes, causes, and groups?
How long will it take before they get the *job done, I wonder?

You are completely correct, of course.
I,however, make no attempt to tell anyone else a single thing that they should, or should not do with their lives with only the exceptions of A)if it effects me directly in the body or pocketbook or B) they ask. I care not who diddles whom (as long as all are consenting adults) not does it make the slightest difference to me what form of government any other nation has nor what that government does to its citizens or other nations besides this one.

Of course the liberal media does not care, they love the homosexual lifestyle. To report that 90% of the sexual offenses against young teenagers involve homosexuals does nto fit their agenda. They want to tar and feather all Catholic priest as sexual predators against children, which is pure, unadulterated hogwash. The vast majority of Catholic priest have never molested anyone. The liberals want the Church to adopt abortion on demand, allow women clergy and allow homosexual “marriage”, something that will never happen in the Catholic Church. The liberal media is obsessed with these three areas of Catholic doctrine. Nothing else. And from your comments you act like you didn’t even read Donohue’s article.
Well that’s where you and I differ. I will tell anyone that believes in abortion that they are an accomplish to murder. I will tell any homosexual that asks what I think of their perverted lifestyle. Ask me and they get the truth. I have busted many homosexuals in the mouth in my 64 years on this earth and it does not bother me in the least. Homosexuals like to prey on young teenage boys and ruin their life forever. They are a menace to society and if I had my druthers they would all be locked up together somewhere in Siberia, where they couldn’t spread the diseases they carry and ruin other’s lives with their sexual molestations.

Can’t even imagine giving the slightest damn about what any two consenting adults do, or what another person puts in their body or bloodstream, or what they believe or don’t believe or what the do for entertainment. Happily hetero and that’s all I need to know.
